It looked to me like it was the right thing but as I am not a plumber, I’m just a have-a-go DIYer that some would say has the gear but no idea. I thought I’d end up trying to clean up the old fitting and putting it back. As it happened this was the perfect fit and was very easy to fit, if you have some basic DIY and plumbing skills. Once I got the old unit out I simply fitted this new unit, that is as cheap as chips. Great value for money and does the job well, so far! Its smaller and lighter weight than the one that came out but the quality looks OK. No instructions supplied but I think that the supplier assumes that you would know what you are doing.
