Calor GAS Brand 37Mbar Screw on Propane Gas Regulator Screw On Type 5 Year Warranty

I purchased this regulator after deciding to upgrade the gas supply to my barbecue from a 5kg propane cylinder to a 47kg cylinder. As we use the barbecue regularly, buying gas in the larger cylinder works out considerably cheaper over time, making the change well worthwhile.The regulator arrived well packaged, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Installation onto the cylinder was straightforward, giving a secure fit and a good positive seal.The only part that required a little effort was pushing the gas hose fully onto the regulator spigot. I found that placing the end of the hose in hot water for a short time softened it enough to slide on much more easily. Once fitted and secured with the hose clip, everything went together perfectly.Before putting it into service, I carried out a leak test and was pleased to find there were no leaks at all. The regulator has provided a steady gas supply and has worked flawlessly ever since.I’ve also included a photograph of the regulator fitted to my 47kg propane cylinder, which should give prospective buyers a good idea of how it looks once installed.Overall, an excellent regulator that is well made, easy to install and ideal if you’re upgrading to a larger propane cylinder to reduce running costs.

Easy to fit and been using it a few years now with no issues.

I already had a spare propane cylinder and my new BBQ came with a patio gas regulator. It was much cheaper to buy a new regulator rather than 'rent' a new patio gas cylinder.The Calor gas regulator was only slightly more expensive than a no name one.

The brass olive on this REALLY needs to be tightened down to get a good purchase on the canister and not leak. (Please do check for gas leaks properly). I almost stripped the threads it needed probably 75-100 ftlbs (guess on hand spanner) to get it tight enough. This is fine... except you are "supposed" to take the bottle off if not using for extended period, and i think i'd much rather not with this one! Ill disconnect the hose or something.

Needed one of these for a gas bottle for my barbecue. Good price on amazon so ordered it along with a spanner. Screwed it it and it worked as designed. Not sure what else to add? It's a lovely red colour maybe??

New BBQ with propane only instruction. Retailer quoted horrendously high prices for their version of Camping gas as you have to purchase the bottle and then the gas. Refills were almost the same price so walked away. Saw this regulator on Amazon and purchased one. This gives me the option of using the Calor red propane bottles which can be refilled for a much lower cost - you do need an empty bottle so searched the Marketplace and found a cheap empty one which allowed me to purchase a full one. A simple answer to inflated prices.

A good gas regulator, does the job.I recommend it to anyone who needs one.

Well made and seems weatherproof, unlike the one it replaced which failed big time.
