31-12 Extension Ladder Pulley Replacement Kit, Compatible with Werner Brand Aluminum & Fiberglass Extension Ladders

Should’ve gotten this years ago. Installed this pulley in few mins and it was if my ladder was new - extension slides effortlessly up and down and hooks onto the rungs much better. Yes, Replacing the simple pulley makes that much of a difference on my 40yr old extension ladder.

I replaced my old pully and rope because it was always getting jambed and was pretty beat up. This new one along with a new rope has been a life saver. Out of the box I first noticed that the sides of the pulley were milled from a solid piece of aluminum. The exterior faces were nice and smooth, but the inside face were left very rough, and the corners seemed to be almost sharp. It would have been nice if they had eased the edges just a bit. That said I installed it and it works great. I have not fixed it in place to the center of the wrung with the included rivet as I am not sure it needs it.

The original set was plastic and broken after 20 years. Now the aluminum one should last much longer.

It’s a good quality product that works well. If you don’t have the ability to use the enclosed pop rivet a decent self tapping screw works well.
