Best survival hatchet ever.....
This hatchet is kinda pricey but worth every penny. I have been looking for years for "the one", and do believe I have finally found it, pending on how well it holds it's edge. It appears to be pretty hard steel judging by the work it took to get a keen edge. It came sorta sharp, but is now razor sharp after applying some time and a little elbow grease. I have a bunch of other survival/camp type hatchets but haven't really been wowed by any of them to tell you the truth, including some big-name popular brands, and this one is the go to from here out. Love the edge design, the kydex sheath that is very functional where most others have come up well short, the nail puller/pry bar, the whole thing is one piece of steel from one end to the other, and the hole for your finger to fit in for fine work, which is usually kind of clumsy and a little dangerous with other hatchets. It feels natural in your hand while whittling or whatever. Good design all around and I'm very happy with this hatchet, and will be with me always when heading for the mountains or the woods. The possible use for a effective defensive tool is apparent as well, given the keen edge, the hammer head, and the chisel like pry end. Not to mention it's just heavy enough to really be formidable, yet light enough to wield effectively and quickly should the undesirable need arise. This is an all-around super good tool to have in your kit.

Solid choice!
Solid choice for a multifunal hatchet. Small enough to stow in a pack or on a belt yet big enough to actually use it for bushcraft. Full tang and comfortable handle. Good sharpness out of the box. Kydex sheath has multiple attachment options and fits well, no rattling. Fairly light at 26oz. Great choice for camping/hiking or a tactical breaching tool!

Looks cool, seems functional as an emergency or camping tool
I've really only used this a few times to break up some furniture and to break up thick ice on a stairwell. Seems cool, very sharp as others have described. I think the pry-bar end might even be too sharp to a point where I'm worried it might tear a hole in a bag, pants or a car seat if it's not stored carefully and with some thought given to that possibility. Two minor complaints: 1. PRIOR to me using it for anything at all I had it stored in the passenger compartment of my car (ie on the back seat, not on the floor and not the in trunk, in it's sheath), and it developed little rust spots on the blade. I sprayed it with some WD40 and scrubbed it with a nylon brush and that solved that issue but it was weird that it happened having not used it for anything at that point in time. 2. The included sheath is pretty stiff, which can be good and bad. It will stay in the sheath without using the retention straps so that's good but also it can be a struggle to get it out of the sheath and given how sharp this thing is, do you really want to be trying to wrench it loose and then have it suddenly come out? Overall pretty good, no surprises and it has worked for me so far.

Seems like a great tool.
So far a great tool for a very reasonable price. I’ve chopped some saplings with ease and made kindling for a few fires. It’s holding its sharpness so far. Glad I purchased.

Looks and feels quality built
Feels well balanced, extremely sharp upon arrival, nice sheath, and ergonomics of handle feel good. Only reason for 4 stars is because I haven't had opportunity to use yet.

An arborists EDC must have
This is the best hatchet I have ever had the pleasure of owning, if you want a high quality hatchet you need this one. It is so sharp so careful. It has an awesome pry bar feature on it that makes it great for peppers and I could probably break into all kinds of things with that hatchet if I really need to, or break out. The size is perfect and the weight is just right. You will not be disappointed if you buy this hatchet.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Solid build, good size, not to big not too small. Sharp as you know what! Great for camping. Very pleased!
