They taste a bit sweeter than the ones I get at the big pharmacy chain. But they still taste good. I would get them again.

For the price, these are darn fine burnt peanuts. However, they are very hard on your teeth, there were lots of spheres of sugar that had no peanut inside and you could risk chipping a tooth on them easily, and the red dye stains your teeth, your GI tract, and depending on your diet… well… don’t eat these before a visit to the doctor, because the bright red sample will shock and concern them.

I've bought other Nutic products & thoroughly enjoyed them: they all were very high quality & used delicious & fresh ingredients. I reordered their Malted Milk balls a number of times.But, these French Burnt Peanuts are a disappointment. After eating no more than 6-8 pieces, my jaw & teeth are sore from chewing. The flavor is fine, they taste fresh, but the candy coating is too thick, much thicker than other brands I remember eating. I still recommend the Nutic chocolate candies I've tried, but I definitely can't do the same with these Burnt Peanuts.

I originally bought 1 bag of these from a different seller on Amazon and I loved them! I thought they were one of the best burnt peanuts I'd ever had! So I went ahead and bought this 5 lbs. I received them ok and no damage but when I tasted the first bag (it came with 5 bags), it didn't taste nearly as good as the first time. For one thing, it seems like this batch used WAY TOO MUCH food coloring because it turns my tongue very red for a long time - I think this may affect the flavor because the candy coating doesn't taste as good. For another thing, the peanuts seem lower quality and don't taste as good as that first bag I tried. And finally, there were many defective pieces in the bag, for example bits of candy without any peanut inside. I won't be buying Nutic brands of candy again.

After shopping around for the best price per ounce of course Amazon nailed it. Have them on a subscription so I never run out! Great flavor, quality & fresh!

Ever crave that unique taste/texture combination? As an adult I don’t often crave candies if my youth…but when the nostalgic urge swept over me one night and having NO idea where to begin to find this hard-to-find crunchy sweet treat, I jumped to Amazon and tried my luck…two days later the hefty bag arrived and I dug in and….mmmm, there it was, in all it’s original sweet nut flavor… pebbly on the outside and pure peanut inside…this fulfilled my appetite. I was a glutton, I went nuts for nuts…ate the whole thing. It was solid and fulfilling taste…I couldn’t have asked for better. Just one thing to be aware of: it takes two full days for the red dye to be digested. So DONT be freaked out when you’re peeing having forgotten all about the nuts two days ago and you think you’re hemorrhaging…the bright red pee scared the hell out of me until I realized what was really happening….so, buyer beware and don’t freak out.
