BruxGuard Bruxism Mouthpiece with Retainer Case

I noticed on Amazon that this is the better and less expensive of the mouth guard options. I have a tendency to clentch my teeth at night and wanted something to eleviate the stress on my teeth. While forming the guard to my mouth was very easy (and had a handy stick to dip the guard in the hot water) the instructions were extremely limited. Do I need to have my bottom teeth impact on the top teeth guard as well when I bite down? While I use this guard at night and I feel better knowing I have it, I am slightly apprehensive as to whether I formed the guard right (to thin/thick/too much bite/not enough) etc.Overall review -Worked well for what it is but in the future I would spend more money to have the dentist do it correctly for me.

I buy this quite regularly, about once a month, and at first I found it bulky and weird, and kept spitting it out in my sleep but now I am accustomed to wearing it at night. The guard can take a few tries to fit it perfectly, or just once for a "good enough" fit. The material has some give in it, making it not unpleasant to grip between teeth, and is reassuringly tough, I have never had a piece break off, even when wear and tear causes the guard to start to split.I will keep using this product, because I like having teeth. Always arrives sooner than predicted.

In the end, it is not easy to shape so that the mouth piece will stay in the mouth. The spatula is very helpful to position the mouth guard. I suspect that it would more sense to shape the rear teeth first - the guard in my case, was not wide enough apart at the back so I ended up biting into the inner side wall of the guard. I had 2 goes at shaping the guard. I do not think that this will stay in my mouth over-night.

So far extremely pleased with the Brux Guard. I don't think I grind my teeth but I do unintentionally clench them and wake up most mornings with a headache which goes down to my neck. Having read some of the reviews I decided to give it a try. Although I've only had it for two days and used it twice, when I wake up my jaw feels so much more relaxed and rested and my headaches have gone. I'm finding it hard to believe it's made such a difference. The only downside is that the fitting instructions don't match the mouth guard. Perhaps a new version of the mouth guard but with old instructions. I had to log on to the website to make sure I was doing it properly. Overall would definitely recommend.

Moulding this exactly for my teeth was a bit tricky, had to do it twice. But not difficult at all. It fits perfectly and is the most comfortable mouthpiece I've used yet.Now, after a couple of months of using it, it's getting a bit torn apart, and I think we all know what that means: I become a T-Rex at night and have been chewing on it instead of hunting and eating humans.I think that speaks very well about this product. Many deaths have been prevented because of it!

prompt delivery - arrived the next day! Took a few attempts to get the right fitting - instructions were very clear so no problems experienced. The only problem I would say is that it is not for those of us who have problems breathing through the nose, i.e. suffer with blocked sinuses, have a cold, as you can't breath through your mouth with the shield in place (unless I am doing it wrong). Could, perhaps be a little less bulky, but overall I am very impressed with it. It's not uncomfortable to wear and seems to do the job otherwise.

Does the job brilliantly. As quite a heavy tooth grinder (often continuous heavy grinding for hours a night) I can feel the back of the guard becoming worn after a month, I kind of like that because I know if I wasn't wearing it, my teeth would be taking the hit! If I remould, it's like starting with a brand new guard.Offers a replacement if you struggle getting the fit right but it is very easy to mould.The only trouble I had was getting it to stay put at night but a couple more mouldings and I got it nice and snug round my top teeth with little indents for my bottom teeth to rest in, in a very natural feeling position.

The mouth guard is so large it's more like something you'd wear when playing rugby not for going to sleep. It molds very nicely to your teeth shape when warmed up in hot water, but the plastic is so thick that my mouth is stuck half-open and very uncomfortable. This is designed for someone with a huge mouth (I struggled to get it into my mouth!), not a subtle little guard to give protection at night time! However the packaging is nice and delivery was very fast.. but for me it's a waste of money.
