Small..but thats why i love it. Great quality
forget jewelrry. Get her this. My favorite hatchet is a old one my dad gave me. Small light..didnt want to wreck it. This one is so perfect ..fits a old ladys hand..or a kid. Or hauling thru the woods chaga hunting. So well made. Blade cover is tight fit. Not sure i can snap it. But dont care. I love this hatchet ..good job designing.

Great little hatchet
Really cool little hatchet. Very good quality. It came with a very well executed convex grind with a sharp edge. The mask was too small to snap closed but less than five minutes of wet forming to stretch it out fixed that easy peasy.

Nice hatchet but a little small
The media could not be loaded. I have large hands and that’s not the problem. Handle just a little too short for me. Other than that this is a great piece.

Super fun little axe for multiple uses
I bought this for woodworking tasks, like shaping down birch branches for spoon carving, but it has been good for general purpose hacking and smashing. Really nice to carry around since it doesn't have a lot of bulk so you forget it's hanging on your belt. Mine came with hex screws so you can readjust the wood scales if it gets loose (which it will if you throw it at a tree, which is super fun and probably not recommended). It was sharp out of the box and I was able to hack some branches to size without any trouble. Probably not going to replace an actual camp axe for heavy chopping, but it's very versatile as a walking-around axe. Also cool that it was made in Ukraine.

Poor edge grind (on mine, at least!)
Nice balance, blade and handle are great. And I’m a huge BPS fan. But be ready to file or dremel the edge into shape. Mine just came with a really bad edge, too fat, and it bounces off cuts like hitting a tire. I’d love to know if mine was a fluke, but a few others have complained about the sharpening and grind.

Small but mighty.
It really is small. But I really like it a lot. I have a couple BPS knives and they’re a great value. This is no exception. The leather is great. The steel is great. The workmanship is great. The only thing (and this is me being an axe junkie) is the bit is a lil thick for my liking. I’ll file it down to a more acute angle to make it more efficient. But man do I like this lil guy!

NOT SHARP! But potential to be.
I love the size and design of this little hatchet, ergos are great, with great potential, but this arrived with literally (using the word literally correctly) NO edge. I could not press to paper or cardboard to even manage a surface cut, just dented them. No way trying to cut paper, or even chop wood! It was blunt and rounded as if they forgot to apex the edge on this one. I will have to spend some time re-profiling this thing before it will even chop through wood or be a functional hatchet. This must have been an oversight or QC issue. Other reviewers report great edges, but mine came with a butter knife edge and could cut nothing.
