Amazing/Simple - MUST BUY
Amazing pastry book that rethinks baking! The out of the box thinking, yet simplicity of these recipes is amazing. Philip is a true pioneer in this space. The EUREKA moment for me was when I got the whipped cream going and how much I preferred it to traditional dairy based whipped cream, it was so light and fresh yet delicious! If only all vegan restaurants/cafes bought this book, maybe vegan desserts would have a bad reputation because these recipes aren’t just ok replacements for dairy based baking, they are BETTER!

Incredibly innovative, delicious recipes for all diets! Better desserts!
I have to congratulate Philip on this incredible achievement. You can already tell it’s going to be a great cookbook because of the passion and clarity in his writing and how he explains the reason for each ingredient and their fundamentals before jumping into the recipes. The idea of including the videos for every single recipe is no innovative and helpful. I can’t imagine how much work went into that. And needless to say, the recipes I’ve tried so far have produced some of the best desserts I’ve tried. None of them will taste like anything else you’ve tried because he really produced new plant-based recipes that were based on his technical knowledge with high quality and nutritious ingredients. This book will also last for a long time: the cover are pages are made of thick materials which for me are essential for cookbooks. It’d be a great purchase for you or gift to someone, experience or novice bakers.

A new way to think!
A New Day to Bake is more than a baking book. It is a quiet revolution. Chef Philip Khoury brings a new vision to the pastry world: indulgent, elegant, and entirely plant-based. With stunning precision and creativity, Khoury reimagines classic desserts without compromising on flavor or texture. From glossy tarts to rich ganache cakes, every recipe feels both elevated and accessible. What sets this book apart is its balance. It is technically refined, but never intimidating; sophisticated, yet deeply comforting. The photography is gorgeous, the instructions are clear, and the results are consistently impressive, even for home bakers. But more than anything, A New Day to Bake is a manifesto of possibility. It proves that patisserie can be ethical, modern, and just as decadent. Philip Khoury does not just teach you to bake. He invites you to rethink what baking can be and to fall in love with it all over again.

Fantastic recipes, enjoyed by everyone!
I'm not vegan, but have dietary restrictions that mean I have to avoid dairy and egg. As you can imagine, this seriously impacted my ability to bake, and I love to bake! After seeing Phillip make his apple pie from the book on a TV show, I decided immediately to purchase it and I've now baked more out of his book in 2 months than I have in the 8 previous! I love the QR codes to get a little video of how to make the recipe, along with clear instructions in the book. It doesn't just rely on substitutes like "vegan butter" but rather makes the recipe from whole ingredients which are for the most part easily available. Everything I've made from this book has been a success and everyone who has tried them has raved at how tasty they are. I've made the apple pie, banana bread, chocolate tahini cookies, banana chip cookies, sticky toffee date pudding and orange and almond cake so far. I paid full price for the book (£24.99) and do not regret it at all. Highly recommend! P.S. I did get the book with a dented corner which I blame on Amazon, as the outside packaging wasn't affected. Nearly sent the book back, as I expect paying full price for a hardcover to get it in excellent condition, but I'm so glad I didn't simply because the content is so good.
