Wish there was an unpainted option
I always end up scraping the paint off with a knife. The untreated wood is a much nicer feel in the hand, and doesnt get slippy with sweat. Also, the added environmental and economic benefits of not painting them are self-evident

These are a good deal.
Never tried Paslers before. I ordered a dozen 5Bs on a lark, price was so good. And you know what, these are fine. I'm contemplating trying out their 9Bs, why not.Two possible downsides. These guys are a little bit fatter than normal art pencils. Just a teeny bit fatter than a Tombow, if you know what that is. So, downside #1 is you can't feed ’em into a bottom-of-the-line, crank-operated pencil sharpener. Too big to go into the hole. You'd have to have one of those sharpeners that has a "lens turret" (if you will). That thing with a bunch of holes on a wheel...? you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, if you're buying anything over 4 or 5B, you probably wouldn't be feeding the pencil into a crank-operated sharpener anyway. The lead can't handle it. When the lead is that soft, best thing (I find) is one of those German "brass bullet" sharpeners....Possible downside #2. These things aren't handsome. The font, the logo, the paint—it's all pretty shabbylooking. I wanna say they're ’60s "Soviet" style—viz., austere and crummy. To me, this has its own charm, but I could see somebody not lovin’ it.All in all, though, whatever! Eight bucks for twelve 5Bs is a GOOD deal. The Faber Castells I like (9000 series) were $12/dozen. And my Staedtlers were eleven bucks and some change for six pencils. If you go through these things fast, and we all do, you gotta be on the lookout for some savings. This is where Pasler shows up big.

Hard pencils that do not smear.
They are the ideal hardness for drawing clear molecular structures and reaction mechanisms.

Great pencil
Nice pencil, a bit thicker than an average pencil. Smooth lead that doesn’t break easily. Great for drawing and writing

Excellent Quality Pencils
I have these pencils in 3H, 2B, and 6B and they make excellent marks. I am a beginner artist as the sketch provided shows but I love the feel and marks these pencils make in all of the grades I have used them and I do have other artist quality pencils to compare them with.
