Top line: Good, sturdy case that will serve travelers/commuters that prefer the "attached" Switch configuration. Skip if you are primarily a dock user.Good: Solid case, very easy to get on and off, yet fits flush when on. While not super grippy by any means, it's not slick or slippery like some plastic cases. All of the cutouts line up well, and everything is easily accessible with the case one (minus the dock--more below). This is a great option for anyone that's going to have a switch bouncing around in your backpack on long trips. It feels sturdy, but not cumbersome.Bad: As easy as it goes on and off, doing so several times a day would be tiresome to infuriating (based on your level of patience). Combine this with the Switch being undockable when this case is on (too thick), and it is not a good choice for anyone that primarily uses the Switch in docked configuration. This case takes up the same amount of room whether it has a switch in it or not, so be prepared to have a place to stash it (or have a big ugly hunk of plastic on your coffee table).Other: It's far from the most beautiful case, but based on the price, it's perfectly fine. Package also includes three sets of thumbstick covers. I tried using them for a bit but was having problems with accidentally pressing/clicking the thumbsticks in due to the squishyness of the covers. For some, they may kill the otherwise stiff, responsive feel of the stick just a little too much. Since I didn't even realize they were part of the package, I had no qualms tossing them to the side.

I have to use this in portable mode. As I have large hands and don't like the feel of the switch in my hands after 10 min (depends on the game). I have bought(and wasted my money on other solutions and they were cheap and didn't really give me a grip of the switch. They seamed ro be more decorative Solutions. This case/grip works great. It really gives me a really comfortable grip while I play my switch on the go it seems like it would protect it a little bit too from a small drop. My main complaint is getting it on and off can be a little tough and you have to take it off if you want to dock it which is how I play it most of the time anyway. So that is the biggest bummer, but I love it and it is worth it

I usually don't write reviews, but MAN, did this case save my switch. I dropped my baby in a bar and it was 100% scratch free because this case has solid TPU "grips" where the joycons are, and because the front part of the switch is also slightly protected.(READ: there is a slight "bezel" around the whole edge of the device, and if you combine this with joystick covers, the front of the switch is protected from most drops.)As for the grips themselves, they are extremely comfortable, and look cool since the material is somewhat foggy transparent, which leaves the color of the joycons and the switch logo visible from the back.JUST KNOW that you cannot dock this case!!! You must take it off every time. But considering there are currently no dockable full case solutions WITH a grip like this, this case is a no brainer if you use the Switch in handheld mode.

It's comfortable and greatly improves the Switch experience. It's the perfect balance of flexibility and ridigity to make it protective and comfortable while fitting very well. The only drawbacks are simply a result of the nature of the product.... The Joy Cons cannot be removed easily, nor can it be docked as easily. Still, I tend to play in portable mode with the Joy Cons attached, so this works well for me. It also doesn't detract from the look of the switch like many of the other cases available.

I bought this is item specifically for the additional grip support. This item helps alleviate the hand cramping I experience due to long play sessions in handheld mode by providing support for the ring fingers and middle fingers. The Switch now feels more comfortable, very similar to the Wii U pad, only not as heavy due to the ergonomics of the Switch. If you're like me, and you enjoy playing the Switch in handheld mode while the family is using the television, then I recommend you consider this product.

Great rear cover, exactly what I wanted which was a one piece case for the Switch rather than a three piece. I don't like to play the Switch using the stand and the Joycons by themselves. I prefer handheld and docked. This case is a little tough to get on and off, but once you figure out how, it's a since. Basically, put the top side on first, over the shoulder buttons, then the bottom. Taking off is just the opposite, slip the bottom edge off before the top edge where the shoulder buttons are.

Good product for the price ... As others stated you have to take it off to dock the switch. It stays secure when in use but easy enough to take off (even for a 6 and 8 year old).I have no experience with drops yet but the material leaves me confident it would protect the switch. I will update my review if I find otherwise.

Fantastic. Feels sturdy. Works as intended.Adds great grip to the device. I couldn't see myself using the Switch without it. Without it, the device feels awkward to hold. Definitely recommend!You do have to remove it when it's in the dock, but I don't have a problem with it given the amount of functionality it adds.
