Awesome. Worht the price.
This is my 3rd collar. The first two were cheaper and were not reliable. So far this one is working great. It pairs right back up when you wake it up - sometimes you need to push the sound button twice - but it has never lost pairing leaving me with no contact with the collar. The others did. Often. So far the battery for both last a long time. The collar stays on the dog most of the day and we shut it off at night. Our dog seems to hate the tone - the volume is much lower then the others and the pitch slightly higher. For whatever reason it gets his attention much better so that's good. The vibrate seems to be at a lower power but higher frequency as well and triggers an instant response. I actually removed the electrodes as I don;t need them at this time. Tone and vibrate do the trick. Hopefully the quality will last.

While it worked it was great. Then after 3 months the plastic cover on ...
6/3/18 Update. As promised by the customer service rep, I received a replacement transmitter, paired it with the collar and am up and running. Customer service was diligent and very interested in my satisfaction. One feature I especially liked is the thick collar which doesn't roll, thus keeping the points in contact with the dog which is necessary for the shock command to work. Although my dog now responds to the tone and vibration corrections, when I first got the kit he needed a stronger command. I bought a different Dog training kit before this one, which had a soft collar that would roll and lose contact with the dog, making the shock command ineffective. The thick collar is the solution. This is very effective tool. I am happy once again and my dog is listening to commands better then ever6/3/2018 (update) Rep assumed by my silence, that I had received the replacement and was happy. When he found out otherwise he was very proactive to get my problem resolved. Thank you William.5/17/18 While it worked it was great. Then after 3 months the plastic cover on the antenna on the transmitter cracked. Still worked but awkward. Then the transmitter stopped transmitting. As I said, when it worked it was great! That is the only reason it got an ok rating. Rep of manufacturer was going to help but haven't heard from him or seen anything for a couple months,

Definitely recommended --No need to ever use "shock" option.
Update:There was going to be a bit of a wait to get the receiver/collar part replaced, so the seller sent me an entire new unit. The seller was a pleasure to work with, and went out of his way to be helpful, and replaced the collar with no fuss or argument. The person I dealt with was William, and he was super nice and extremely prompt in answering emails. Highly recommended.Highly recommended. We took in our youngest dog when he was eight months old, and he only understood Spanish, and aside from being housebroken, he'd never been trained. He grew into an 80 pound beast. Due to our having a small yard and a privacy fence, he developed fence aggression, tended to play too rough with our "middle" dog, who only weighs about 35 pounds, and he simply would NOT listen when we'd try to get his attention to stop these behaviors. If anything, he thought we were trying to join in with him. I love him dearly, and he's actually a great dog, but all this was frustrating. I finally decided to give this collar a try BECAUSE it has a feature that simply BEEPS at the dog, and a feature that simply VIBRATES the collar. I never had any intentions of using the "shock" feature--and I still wouldn't, unless it was a true emergency, like if he tried to bite someone (I don't think he would) or went to attack another dog (he might.)To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much; I thought it would be a long process of teaching him that the beeping or vibrating meant that he should stop what he was doing and see what I wanted.Much to my surprise, the very first time I used it---he was displaying fence aggression (we've moved to a house with a bigger yard, and the fence has two sides that are chain link, by the way,) towards the neighbors on the other side of the privacy fenced side of our yard. So, I "beeped" at him. The result is that it frightened him--he's a big wimp---and he immediately left the fence and came running straight to me, and he received a LOT of praise for having done so--he's not very treat motivated, but praise him and scratch his back and he'll melt. And that was all it took. After a couple more incidents--one late that same night, and one the next day--he was no longer afraid of the beeping sound, but when he heard it, he'd stop whatever he was doing and come running to me. Oh--and I always call his name when I "beep" the collar at him, as well. By the third day, all I had to do was call his name; no more beeping necessary. We've used the vibrate feature a couple of times when he was chasing one of our cats, and he stops immediately and comes to either me or my husband---he gets the vibrate and a strong "Zeus, NO" with the vibrate. We've also used it to break the habit he had of standing in the middle of the yard when I was trying to get both him and the 35 pound dog to come inside at the same time---he'd stand in the middle of the yard and ambush her, or (mostly) he'd attempt to ambush her, and they'd wind up chasing each other round and round the boat that's in our yard for the next 10 minutes....which is really cute, but not at 4 in the morning when I want to go back to bed. It only took one or two times of vibrating the collar and saying "Zeus, no." He's completely stopped that behavior. The collar comes with two different lengths of prongs for the shock bit--if we planned to shock our dog, we would put the collar on tighter than we do, and use the longer prongs, since he is a double-coated dog, but, we only have the short prongs in, and we don't tighten the collar, so even if we were to accidentally hit the shock button, he likely wouldn't feel it.This collar will fit any size dog, though if you have a really small dog, you might want to fit it to the dog and cut off the excess--it's some sort of rubber-like material, and I don't think you'd want to leave it on your dog for too many hours at a time if you DID happen to have it tightened up enough so that the prongs could touch the dog's skin--I don't think it would be comfortable at all for the dog. I only put the collar on Zeus when he's headed outside--I can slip it over his head--and now, most of the time, I don't even bother, because he's now become our best-behaved dog.We do have an issue right now in that the collar part doesn't charge properly, or hold a charge at all, but when I contacted the seller about this, he replied almost immediately, worked with me to figure out which part had gone bad, and is sending me a replacement for it. He was very nice and courteous and prompt, and I have no doubts that the situation will be resolved ASAP.Once we have everything working properly again, I may try the collar on the 35 pound dog, because she displays "guarding" behavior, that occasionally escalates into her and the larger Zeus getting into a squabble. She holds her own with him just fine, and he's mostly just trying to defend himself, but the chance is there that one of them could get hurt, plus, the way she gets something--usually one of HIS toys--and lays on the floor growling with it is just annoying. So we may give it a try--she's a Carolina Dog, and therefore, timid and easily traumatized by things she doesn't understand, but I'm thinking that having heard the beeping sound coming from the collar when Zeus was wearing it might make it less frightening for her. If it really scares her we'll take it off and not try that again. But seriously, for normal dogs (Carolina Dogs are not normal,) like Zeus, who is a GSD/Lab mix, I can't recommend the collar enough. In fact, the only thing that would make me like it more is if it didn't have the shock option at all, and maybe had a louder beep combined with vibration as the third option, instead. It's been at least five days now since I've put the collar on Zeus at all, and still, no matter what he's doing, if I open the door and call his name, he comes running to me, tail wagging, knowing he's going to be praised for being such a good dog.....no more chasing him around the yard at 4 in the morning, only to have him slip out of his regular collar the moment I caught him and try to engage me in a game of "chase." He's now a very good boy.

LIFE CHANGER!!
Definite LIFE CHANGER. I can now take my overly excited, overly friendly dog everywhere and keep her craziness in check without getting my armed yanked off by a leash. Everywhere I go, I get compliments now on her amazing behavior. Love this collar, and recommend it to everyone! On a side note, for anyone who has never used a shock collar and wants to teach there dog not to run away or stay by your side without a leash...here's my tidbit of advice:1) Try out the shock on 1 or 2 on yourself so you are aware of the fact that it is not like getting electrocuted.2) In a safe environment, start training your dog with treats to come back to you with the beep function.- If your dog refuses to come after a few beeps, press the vibrate button on a medium setting.- If your dog is still not responding, lower the intensity setting to a 2 or a little more depending on the thickness of the dogs neck/size etc. and press SHOCK button.3) RINSE and REPEAT and before you know it your dog will grow wings and turn into an angel!
