After swabbed, how long does that stay good? I would like to have this delivered out of my state, swabbed, than mailed back to me.

My father lives in one state and my sister lives 1500 miles away. I collected his sample then mailed it to my sister. She got it 3 days later and then it took several days for her to collect her sample and mail it to the lab. She got the results back within a few weeks. As long as the DNA sample is not contaminated, it is good indefinitely. Be sure the envelopes are properly sealed and that is all that is necessary. Our results confirmed what we already knew but we just wanted "additional" or "unbiased" proof. We were happy with Identigene and recommend them highly.
