Love this game! Worth every penny!!
I love this game! Definitely worth getting! If you have anyone in your family that likes music, this is a must have. It is super simple, its Apples to Apples but with music and you use your phone to play the songs. Can be a short game or go until you have played every card.

Too hard for my granddaughter
I got this for me and my granddaughter because we both love music. I think some of the things on the cards will be hard for her to understand like I don't know if she knows what a levee or would even know a song with the word Levee in it to find it on her phone. I think I'm going to give it to someone else for Christmas or maybe toss it in a grab box

GET IT.
If you like apples to apples, you would LOVE this game. It's so much fun. I would highly recommend using Apple Music if you have it. It was harder to play using Youtube. I wish there were more games like this! My family and I played this for over 3 hours.

All players need a device to play back the music; responses not anonymous
Similar to the "Game That Song, 1980s" this is a card game very aking to Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity, but with a music twist. One player picks a card with a phrase e.g. "A song that shows the boy is going to get the girl" and the other players need to scroll thru music apps/YouTube to find a song they think represent the card. But all players need a device to be able to choose a song, play back the song that is chosen and the responses are not anonymous, like it is in other response games. You know who chose what song and sometimes people pick the *same* song as their response. It can also be noisy if people don't have earbuds/headphones while they are looking for the song. And there is no timer, and some people take forever to pick a song. It's not as easy when you have to remember the song and then find it. My girlfriends and I got tired of looking for music and so tried a self-created variation where we sang the pertinent lines to the song and that was more fun except for those of us (me) that are terrible singers. In the right group, it can still be fun. We mixed the cards between the 2000s and then 1980s to give us a wider range of things to choose from and that does work well.

Fun game
Bought this and two other expansion packs ('90s mix, '80s mix) to use with the main 'Game That Song' game pack. This game is straight forward and easy to play. Essentially, the game can be played with any of the expansion packs without the need to buy the main game pack. Each player draws three cards. When it's your turn, you pick and play a card. Other players then choose songs on the cellphones (or MP3 players if they're not into streaming) that apply to the card played. The person who played the card decides the most appropriate song played, and that person then gets to keep the card. First person to win five cards wins the game. Simple. The most difficult part was getting a couple of the oldsters we sometimes play games with to figure out how to find songs on youtube or some other service. Still, once they get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. It can be a problem trying to play a single line in a song or a chorus that takes forever to get to, but if you can get over that, its an easy game to interact with and have fun. Each expansion pack adds 50 cards to the parent deck. The game is recommended for ages 14 and over. Note that the expansion packs, while labeled 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s do not require songs from those eras--the cards have lines from that era, but any song that applies to the topic works. Good fun.
