My injury was a sprain/tendon issue, and this brace was used after weeks of treatment with a rigid brace. It is a good transition from rigid bracing to no bracing. I found that the minimal support was useful, especially after therapy, to provide a bit of support, while allowing for near complete range of motion. It is very comfortable, and I forget I’m even wearing it. For added support (since these come as a Left and Right pair, if you turn one brace inside out both can be worn on the same hand- doubled up. Doubled may be too tight for some, and may not be recommended by the mfg. but it helps when you may need a bit more support due to activities.). This isn’t for an acute or moderate to severe injury, but would be better advertised as an arthritis type aid - it keeps the thumb warm, and slightly supported. It washes easily and drys quickly. I’ve used this product -daily - for 4 weeks and it’s held up well.
