Best value and best working
Since I hate to pay the going rate for manufacturers' coffees, I have tried literally all of the alternatives on Amazon and find this ingenious invention works the best. I still have to start with one of the expensive manufacturer's cups; but I can reuse each one about 7 times. The first time a new K-Cup is used, the coffe maker punches a hole in the bottom of the cup. The subsequent times I use the cup I am careful to position the hole punched in the bottom by rotating the cup until the "hole-puncher" snags the existing hole.I use Starbucks Pike Place coffee, ground using the "espresso" setting. The coffee is not strong enough for the largest cup setting on the coffee maker. The small and medium size settings work fine. When the Ready to Brew light comes on after my cup is brewed, I remove the K-Cup from the machine and slam it lightly in the sink on the K-Cap. Usually the cap comes out and grounds spill into the sink. In 10-15 seconds I can wash out the cup until I can see the white (OK, light brown) of the filter all around. Then I set the cup upside down to dry.The coffee maker saves me time. The K-Caps save me money. I would be tempted to use Starbucks-made K-Cups; but until they start making them this is the best alternative.

A very good alternative to expensive K-Cups - Leakage is preventable
I've been using My-Kaps several times on a daily basis. Like some others have noted, I also experienced frequent leakage from the top of the cap where the injection tube enters it. Even with the leakage, I was getting a much better cup of coffee with the My-Kap than from Keurig's My-Kup, plus with the My-Kap I didn't have to bother taking out the K-Kup holder every time I wanted to use it (my wife prefers to use regular K-Kups, I don't like the expense/wastefulness so I want to use an alternative).I emailed My-Kap directly about the leakage issue. In less than 4 minutes I had a response, telling me they'd send me some washers. My-Kap sells packs of washers separately to address the leakage issue, which I didn't know at the time of my purchase. A few minutes later the Marketing Director personally responded with more information, saying do not routinely include washers with the caps because leakage is usually not a problem, but does occur for a minority of customers. From the results of their testing it appears that the injection tube does not always have the same exact placement and can vary from one coffee maker to another; this is why they think that some users experience leakage while most users do not. In addition to the washers he said they would send a few prototype caps of a slightly different design for me to test. Everything else aside, customer service like that is a rare thing nowadays and I commend My-Kap for their attention to customer satisfaction and desire to make things right. They're worth doing business with for that reason alone. I received a package in my mailbox 2 days later containing some washers, the prototype caps, and a few samples of other items they sell to try out.The washers did the trick, no more leakage. They're like a small faucet washer except white in color, and fit into the recessed area around the center hole of the cap. Using them makes the cap thicker and puts more pressure on the between the injection tube and cap. There's still a small amount of liquid, maybe 3 drops, on top of the cap when you open the brewing compartment after using, just catch that with a napkin or with your coffee cup and there you have it, no mess. Since then I've tried My-Kaps in my mothers and sisters Keurig machines - they have the larger ones with reservoirs - and there was no leakage from their machines at all, without using the washers. So there is some variation from machine to machine, but the washers resolve that issue. But the bottom line is the My-Kaps are an excellent alternative to the expense and wastefulness of K-Kups, and in my opinion the best alternative available. I can get just as good a cup of coffee as using a standard K-Kup, without grounds leaked into my cup, and can use whatever variety of coffee I like. If buying them on Amazon, I'd suggest that you make sure it's being sold by My-Kap and fulfilled by Amazon as opposed to another re-seller. But my best advice is to buy them directly from My-Kap at [...] Order a 3-pack of caps w/cleaning brush, a separate removal tool, and a pack of washers for $13.48, get free shipping (orders over $13.00 qualify); that way you have the washers if needed. They're also available in larger packs for those who'd like the abililty to make up more k-cups ahead of time and have them ready for brewing. Any problems contact My-Kap, they have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee return policy and from my personal experience are committed to customer satisfaction. I've made a suggestion to the Marketing Directory that they begin including a washer in each package of lids.

Sometimes Work, Sometimes Don't
Based on others' reviews I thought I would try these. Sometimes they work, sometimes no. If I put the same amount of coffee in the reused k-cup that is in the new k-cup (I opened one up), then they leak all over the place and coffee grounds get in my coffee. I have to use less coffee, which means I'm not getting the same cup as a purchased k-cup would give me. Which also means I am getting about as much coffee as the My K-Cup, which came with my machine. That means you can fill it a little over halfway, which gives you a weaker cup of coffee (they don't leak if you use less coffee, same as My K-Cup). Plus, it's a real pain to try and align it properly where the hole on the bottom fits. You have to try several times since you obviously can't see from the bottom where it is supposed to be. You can't just pop it in like a k-cup.
