Telescopic Fishing Rod and Reel Combo,Spinning Travel Kit

To be honest first impressions of this dual rod set up it is very well constructed. Rods feel great for being collapsible, they have a strong hold when extended, I've had others you have to fight with to keep extened. I got these mainly for leaving in the car and for easier transportation when on a fourwheeler. They fit well in the case. The down sides of this I only have two, one being I wish the case was molded to fit the rods rather than the strap system they have in there, the other is the green decorative ring above the reel came loose on one of them but nothing a little glue wont fix. Nice sturdy rod with a popping color, would buy again. Reel feels smooth, they are light weight for what I do, minus the case and just took the rod I can see backpacking with it.

I didn't want a super cheap rod and reel, but I also didn't want to spend a fortune. So I gave this a try. I've started motorcycle camping, so I needed something small and durable, but I also wanted a fairly stiff 7' rod mainly for worm and frog fishing for bass. So far, so good. First, lets get the mediocre out of the way. The lures that came with it. Meh. Nothing bad, but nothing special. Used a couple of the jigs, and they seemed to be fine. Caught a small bass. Just generic. Some people complained about the line being garbage. I don't thing I've had any issues. Pulled some 2ish pound bass in through thick vegetation. Also, snapped off a few lures (snagged). But, just as likely failed due to my knot tying as bad string. In my opinion, it's fine. It'll get you going, but have your drag set and you shouldn't have any issues. Anyone buying this probably isn't fishing tournaments or anything, so I think it's acceptable. The rod and reel have been great. Enough power to set the hook on Texas rigged worms. A little more finesse on landing fish, but can power through if needed. Sensitive enough to feel small hits. The protective plastic cover is great for when I want to throw the rod, reel, and a small tackle box in the bike to fish on the way home from work. The case has enough room for a couple of added plastic worm bags (and I keep bug repellent wipes and a small can of fish smell remover in it). It's become my main set up, good value for the price, convenient for when you need a small set up that still is usable (camping and motorcycle). Pliers are good also. Haven't used the fish grip thing. Not my style, except when catfishing. Which I don't do that often, and haven't with this yet. Also haven't hooked what I would consider a "large" fish with it, but I believe it will do just fine. If I get one, maybe I'll update this post with a pic.

I bought this for my 12-year-old son who absolutely LOVES fishing, and he was so excited about it! The telescopic rod is lightweight but sturdy, and I love how easily it collapses down for travel or to keep in the car. The reel is smooth, it’s easy for him to set up and use on his own, and the carrying case keeps everything together. It’s a great little fishing kit that’s convenient, portable, and feels like really good quality. He loves it, so it’s definitely a win!

Great quality and the carrying case was great too. I loved how it held everything together. My family loved it. I bought multiple of them because everyone loved them so much. There’s 9 of us so we needed something compact without sacrificing quality. This was definitely worth buying. Even my husband and dad loved them and they are fishers :)

This is a nice starter pole, the 8' is a bit tall for me but it was on sale when I got it so I felt like it was worth it. The telescoping pole is nice for transporting it but unfortunately snaps back against the base of the fishing pole when the tension is more than it can handle, which makes storing your hook on the fishing pole kind of a pain. I also wish there was a designated hoop for storing the hook.The line is braided colored line which is greater to start but not a great line to advance with. I've caught some smaller sunfish, blue gill, and trout so far, but I'm still pretty novice too. The pole was able to easily handle those no problem. I'm excited to work my way towards using this pole for bigger fish but I may invest in a solid-form fishing pole instead of a telescopic one because keeping all the pieces going the same direction can be hard. Overall I think this makes a great starter kit, it helps you form your own opinions about different types of fishing poles, set up a pole for the first time, no problem.

Great travel rod and reel combo. I use it on my sailboat and for fishing on the lake, and it's compact, smooth and easy to handle. Perfect setup for fishing on the go! It packs away easily and is always ready when I want to cast a line. The case is big enough to hold some of my extra lures. This kit goes everywhere with me from now on!

This thing is awesome, I got it for my son and he takes it everywhere with him. It’s compact and lightweight but durable! The way it collapses makes it easy for him to carry in heavily wooded area to get to the good fishing spots. He’s already got two of his friends sold and they’ll be buying one.
