Everything I hoped for AND MORE
Alrighty, here goes... this bike is amazing. Build quality is certainly there. Every weld was done cleanly and professionally. The finish doesn't really look like the photos. I got the blue one and it looks a bit darker in person. Personally, better! I have been bombing through the woods with no defined paths laughing all the way. I was so excited to get this bike but it ended up being WAY more then I could have hoped for. Below I'll talk about the 35mph addon controller you can buy separately.I was scared the bike might be too large or I simply wasn't strong enough to handle it in real tough situations. I was wrong. It's perfect. I'm a skinny guy with a small gut. 38 years old. I weigh 158lbs and I'm 5' 8"Pros:*Build quality is certainly there.*Finish is beautiful and has been holding up to my forest and trail riding. I have been flying through the woods kicking up sticks and rocks. No scratching so far!*Very comfortable seat, I see no need to get a custom one.*Personal preference but, I'm glad I didn't get the twist throttle, it would be very annoying to hold it a small amount for a slow speed. The trigger throttle is very easy to use and lets you keep a firm grip while also feathering the trigger.*Grips have the extended wrist support that I was going to replace with something higher quality but it's not necessary. These are high quality and can take a beating. I crashed last week and the left grip was dragged through the dirt and rocks. No quality reduction after the crash.*Front fork suspension has a lockout function and the overall strength can be adjusted. It's not an air fork but feels VERY nice!*Plenty of room for stuff in the rear rack bag. You can easily add the saddle bags to the rack as well.*Front light is very bright and has a decent beam angle. I do wish it was wider but this is a personal preference. Can always add another light somewhere on the bar.*Headlight auto turns off and on based on low lighting conditions. Very classy.*Has a USB C port to charge phones.*This is a very small but neat thing for me. When holding down the throttle and feathering the breaks, the throttle kicks right back in the moment the break is released, that way you don't have to release the throttle and engage it again. Just a well thought out development choice by FreeSky. As a product developer myself... this gives me faith about the company and the way they think about their product development.*I also cannot say enough about the help from FreeSky themselves. Right before the bike arrived, they personally sent me a 'getting started guide' which including videos. They were very transparent about our conversations. I asked them for the master codes to get into the brain and change things like, the auto on light, password to unlock the bike, light sensor sensitivity as well as power settings (Shoutout to Ande)Cons:*The weight. 85lbs. It's basically a lightweight, slow motorcycle lol Obviously you can't get around that problem with a battery that literally weighs 25lbs by itself... You want that range? Here's the cost lol (worth it to me)*The water bottle holder location will destroy your... crotch if you fall forward sooo I would recommend not installing it at all. I get why they added this because there's no where else to put it so just throw the water in the back bag or something.*Rear shock doesn't have a lockout function and is a traditional internal spring setup. They sell the air rear shock on their website but that one also does not have a lockout.*Wish it had rear break lights that worked in tandem with the breaks. The screen even shows when the breaks are being applied. This is for disabling the throttle when breaking but it would be neat to just have a break light.*Fenders are a bit floppy but by no means junk. You certainly don't need to keep the fenders on but they have been keeping me dry, so they are totally worth using.*I think I actually need to get the bike registered because of the wattage and top speed. But also... who cares.Details about the 35mph controller addon:I wanted to unlock the controller so I never had to pedal and they throttle would take me 35-37mph.I was also hoping the speeds for each pedal assist were spread out more. What I mean by that is... with the controller the bike comes with on level 1 has a top speed of 10mph. But with the faster controller you can swap out... the level 1 top speed is 7mph. This is WAY more realistic speed for chillin. This is also a more realistic speed to be at when biking with non ebike people.Passive Level speeds with the 35mph controller:1 = 7mph2 = 11mph3 = 16mph4 = 21mph5 = 35-37mph

Why pay more and get less?
So far, so good. Simply put, this e-bike exceeded my expectations. This is my first e-bike and I wasn't sure what to expect. My wife and sister did a trial e-bike rental for a beach ride and was pretty surprised at how fun it was. I'm a regular mountain biker, hybrid rider and wanted something to have some fun on and ride with my wife on longer trail explorations. This is absolutely the ticket. If your reading this and you are curious if this is the right bike for you, it ultimately comes down to what you are looking for.I wanted good quality and performance at a reasonable price. This checked those boxes and then some. As many others have said, you could pay 4000+ for a Conondale, Specialized, Trek, etc. or you could pay $1900 for this and get more for less. Sure, if you are looking to impress your yoga buddies, then buy the overpriced version and slip into your local espresso shop to show off. But if you are like me and want to impress yourself and save a few thousand of your hard earned dollars, buy a FreeSky.Now admittedly, its all up to FreeSky to deliver on the quality over time. I will be updating this review if the bike craps out prematurely, but as for solidness and performance, yaaa, about that.I purchased the Swift Horse a few weeks back. My wife got the Wildcat. I've only been on a handful of rides to push the limits but the power and performance are clear. I've had it up to 35mph several times with ease in PAS 5 and gear 7. Let me tell you that unless you have a death wish, you don't need anymore power. I've taken it up several steep grade hills at 20mph with ease in PAS 3 and pedaling like I'm doing a easy workout on a stationary bike. Its just smooth and powerful. I've been on the road, some gravel, some trails and like the performance on all. However, if you are looking for the nimble control on tight trails like you might challenge on an intermediate+ MTB trail, this might let you down. I mean, it handles great but its no replacement for that gritty technical enduro ride. However, its skill a kick in the arse. This is not a knock, but a serious consideration. One challenge to make sure you are prepared for the weight of the bike. Solid? Definitely! Heavy? Definitely. They weigh just over 100lbs. This is not a light bike that you will be routinely slinging onto a traditional bike rack and hauling down the road to a trail. In fact, I purchased a Black Widow motorcycle hitch carrier that we will be using to load our bikes onto, with a little ramp for on/off loading that we will strap them down on for travel. I read too many stories online about people being heartbroken watching their $2000 ebike bounce down the highway after cheap welds broke on standard bike carriers. Besides, I just dont have the back and youth anymore to hoist those up/off of a bike rack.Other than that, this bike is a beast and the dual suspension makes for smooth riding. It also coasts/glides well, even faster than my regular mountain bike which is way lighter. As for battery, time will tell for sure but after several 11-12 mile rides pushing it pretty good, it has barely touched the battery meter. So I can see getting at least 50 miles without issue. After I push that limit, I will update my post.As for customer service, hope I never need to use it. However, the contact pre/post sales so far is excellent. Shipping was fast within 4 days because they were in stock.FreeSky, if you are reading this. Keep up the great work and you better stand behind these bikes! That's it for now, hope that helps.

Wowsers!
I am 6’2 & 210lbs and this is my first e-bike.First I want to say that the Freesky people were very quick and knowledgeable when I asked questions before buying.About the bike.UNBOXING: There is a video to watch before unboxing. I would recommend that two people unbox the bike, as it is about 80lbs! It is mostly assembled, just have to put on front tire and handle bars, pedals and some small easy stuff…but the frame, motor, rear tire and all the cables are in place already, so it’s pretty easy and straight forward to assemble. It took about an hour, but can be done in half the time if you already know what to do!THE BIKE: It is about the same size and shape of a regular mountain bike, but much “thicker” and “heavy duty”. As I said earlier this model is about 80lbs, much much heavier than a pedal mountain bike. It is very well built and feels very comfortable when seated. If you plan to put the bike in your pickup truck, it fits in a shortbox, but being 80lbs I had to purchase a ramp to get it in the truck. There is a small panel beneath the seat with brake lights and a very large and very bright headlamp up front.SPEED: This bike is very fast. It has 7 regular gears (PA0) for pedaling and 5 Pedal Assist modes. Peddle Assist 0 rides smooth, easy to pedal upto about 20kph or so, but being 80lbs you’ll most likely want to switch into Pedal Assist mode. The only times I stay in PA0 is when it’s crowded or a very narrow passageway, and mounting/dismounting, these are times when accidentally hitting the thumb throttle can be bad! PA level 1 will get you up to about 25kph, PA2 about 35kph, PA 3 about 40-45kph, PA4 about 50-55kph, and PA5 will get you to 55-60kph on flat ground! I know I still had a bit more to give so possibly may go as fast as 62kph. Going this fast on a mountain bike is very exhilarating but at the same time kind of scary, so you might want more safety gear than just a styrofoam helmet if you plan to go these speeds regularly! At the higher speeds the bike feels solid and unwavering, no wobbles or shaky handlebars, so this is excellent!BATTERY: The battery is inside the bike frame and is secured by lock and key. The electronics are activated through a passcode number or a key fob! The battery lasts about 120kms and takes about 6-7hours to charge. You can charge the battery while it’s in the bike, but you can also remove the battery, with the key, and charge it elsewhere. The electronic panel clearly display current speed and trip, you can cycle through more of the info easily with the buttons.UTILITY: I mostly use this bike for recreation and grocery shopping, but if you plan to commute I think this is a good choice, large sturdy frame, easy and comfortable to ride and goes very fast, bright headlamp and built in brake lights. There is room on the back for butt bags, saddle bags or a transport box/crate. I mostly ride on paved roads, but it handles very well on hard pack dirt/gravel as well. It’s also very good on hills!Although it is my first ebike and don't really have much exp with others, I would definitely recommend this bike :) it's exactly what I wanted!

Solid bike with solid customer support
The bike came very well packaged with zero damage from shipment. Assembly was pretty straightforward and I was happy to see that after going over the bike front to back there were only a couple loose pieces of hardware. I would recommend using the supplied tool kit to verify everything is tight.I have been quite happy with the bike so far. I've put on almost 1,200 km. There have been a couple warranty issues. One with the controller and one with the front forks. The seller has been incredibly good to deal with and replacement parts were shipped out without issue. This bike is capable of 55km/h no problem. With a tail wind I can easily hit 60. I weigh about 200 lb and I have a set of saddle bags on the bike.Battery range has been good. I use the bike for commuting to work daily and round trip is 34 km. If I am strictly in cruise control mode which is about 35 km an hour I can go back and forth to work twice with zero issue. That is 68 km. I have not pushed it Beyond this. This is the only electric bike I have ever ridden but I am quite happy so far.

Exceptional Quality and Customer Service - Highly Recommend Swift Horse Bicycles
I recently purchased two Swift Horse bicycles, and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of both bikes. Here is my detailed review of the brand and the two models:Overall Quality:Both bicycles are excellent, and for the price, they offer great value for your money. The materials used seem to be of high quality.First Bicycle:My first bike is equipped with a Bafang motor, which is incredibly powerful, allowing me to reach speeds of up to 40 mph.Second Bicycle:My second bike is the latest model, featuring a new display system with RFID and an MXUS motor that reaches up to 35 mph. Although it is slightly less powerful than the previous model, it is larger and guarantees long-term durability.Technical Issues and Customer Service:I did experience some technical issues with the new model due to its recent release and outdated Amazon description. However, the customer service was exceptional. I received outstanding support from Andy, who assisted me from start to finish and answered all my questions regarding my second bike.Performance:I managed to complete a 40 km sporty escapade with both bikes, and not a single bar was lost on the counter. I believe that you can go beyond 200 km on a single charge, which is truly impressive.Comfort:The seat on the older model was smaller and less comfortable, while the new model features a larger and more comfortable seat.Additional Features:The new model boasts a new display with more information, an RFID system for anti-theft protection with two programmed chips, and an improved seat quality. Although the new motor is slower than the older model, it is larger and seems more durable for long-term use. Conclusion:In conclusion, I highly recommend the Swift Horse brand for their excellent customer service and the quality of their powerful bicycles at a reasonable price.
