The Good: The unit is very solid and well built. The unit sits on my countertop and does not take up too much room, but I do have to slide the unit out from under the cabinet to remove the interior bucket, but that is no a big deal to me. I have run two cycles through the unit, and the compost came out very nice... no complaints on the end result. Also, I have not detected any smell coming from the unit, and it takes me 5-7 days to fill it up. I did have some issues with the unit but their customer service was great. Customer Service reached out to me with my issues and worked very hard to make me a happy customer. My main issue was that the status display on top of the unit had temperatures in Celsius. I reached out Customer Service with this issue, but at this time, the settings cannot be changed. Again, the temperature reading was really my main concern and the customer service I received was one of the best experiences that I have had. So, if you are OK with the Unit reading in Celsius, I would totally recommend this unit. And if you have any issues, I am sure that their Customer Service will work hard to make you a happy customer.

This item stopped functioning three weeks after delivery. It started to be extremely hot (measured in hundreds of degrees) constantly. When I tried to get a return or replacement I was messed around with by their custom service for over a week - taking me right up to return deadlines. They pretended to offer a way to "return it for free through them"... however - the return cost me 30 dollars!!!!And I had to do it because otherwise I am responsible for the entire broken, dangerous object.Extremely dissatisfied with this business, and their response to the danger they have placed their customers in - turn made us pay for the pleasure of that risk.Current take: Terrible product and highly problematic company.

Very quieteasy to operate but watch out for what goes in as if there is very little moisture the compost will be of a dry flakes'/powder consistency. if there is too much water/watery produce e.g. cucumber than it will be very mushy or runny.The dry compost can be stored for longer, but I will not store wet or moist compost as that can produce mold if not used within a short period of time.Unfortunately, the microbial starter is very expensive for 5 pills you will pay 29.99 dollars and that is already on sale/discounted plus taxes and shipping normal price 39.99.The fact I use at least 1 a day sometimes 2 it will have to need 2 bags (10) pills a week at least and that would come to a costly composting.I hope there is a less expensive option out there.

We do a lot of cooking at home and produce 2-3 liters of waste per day. This appliance processes that waste down to a small dried pint-sized pile of compost that we use in our garden. We have had it for a little over a month and are using it just about every day. We hope it holds up to that level of wear and tear, but so far so good. It does make a little noise now and then when it grinds something a little too large. It is best to cut up melon rinds and other large items into 3X3-inch pieces but with kitchen shears, not a problem. The only thing we don't like is that if it is plugged in, it will still come on and rotate occasionally, so we unplug it after emptying the pail. All in all, this was a great and convenient investment.

The media could not be loaded. DO NOT BUY! This composter lasted a few months then broke (see video). It's a piece of junk. I've emailed the company numerous times for several weeks but they just ignore them Shocking Amazon let's this poor excuse of a company do business with them because they just rip off customers. If I could give it zero stars I would. They basically dare you to take legal action. The warranty says "2 years" but that's just a lie. Worst thing I've ever purchased on Amazon.

My boyfriend is a big plant person and has always wanted his own composter so for Christmas I splurged and got him one (with the help of a friend). It has been over a month of using it and there is no complaints so far! It’s not too loud either!

The product is wonderful. The damage to my home is not! If this actually reaches anyone at Amazon that is willing to help, let me know!

The machine worked okay for a few months, but now unable to turn the blade, the food gets stuck underneath a back metal plate on back of the bucket. Today I am unable to open machine because it blows a fuse. Good while it worked.
