If you don't like Al'dente pasta, do not buy
I've struggled for years on Keto to find a suitable replacement for pasta that didn't take forever to prepare. I happened upon this brand recently and gave it a try. It is as close to traditional pasta I think you can get without it actually being pasta lol. It has a slight wheat pasta texture but not the flavor. Has little to no flavor which is a huge bonus for me. Like the box says however, this is NOT regular pasta and will not get as soft as normal pasta can with boiling. This pasta comes out al 'dente, still a tiny bit firm or chewy. That is the only "con" I have for this brand. But as someone that enjoys al 'dente normally, I found this pasta delicious and perfect for my low sugar pasta sauces I use. It's a little expensive, but that's the convenience of it. :)

Pete's Pasta Spaghetti Noodles - A Keto Dieter's Perspective
As someone following a ketogenic lifestyle, I was hopeful when I discovered Pete's Pasta Spaghetti Noodles, marketed as a high-protein, low-carb alternative to traditional pasta. Unfortunately, this product didn't meet my expectations in several key areas. Nutritional Profile On the positive side, Pete's Pasta does deliver on its macronutrient promises. The noodles are indeed high in protein and low in carbohydrates, making them technically suitable for keto dieters looking to satisfy pasta cravings while staying within their daily carb limits. Taste and Texture Experience The most significant drawback of this product lies in its taste and texture. The noodles have a distinctly cardboard-like quality that made each bite feel more like a chore than a meal. The flavor profile is quite bland and somewhat off-putting, lacking the satisfying taste one expects from pasta, even when prepared with flavorful sauces and seasonings. The texture is particularly challenging - rather than the familiar al dente bite of traditional pasta, these noodles have a dry, fibrous quality that doesn't improve significantly with cooking time adjustments. Value Consideration Given the premium pricing typical of specialty diet products, Pete's Pasta represents a poor value proposition. The combination of unpleasant taste, texture issues, and higher cost makes it difficult to justify as a regular pantry staple. Final Thoughts While I appreciate the effort to create keto-friendly pasta alternatives, Pete's Pasta Spaghetti Noodles falls short of providing an enjoyable dining experience. For those with refined taste preferences, this product is likely to be disappointing. Personally, I'd recommend exploring other keto-friendly alternatives like zucchini noodles, shirataki noodles, or simply focusing on pasta-free meal options rather than settling for this particular product. Sometimes it's better to adapt our expectations than to compromise on food quality. Would I purchase again? No Would I recommend to others? Only if they prioritize macros over taste and have exhausted other options

Healthy alternative to typical spaghetti!
I like that it's zero net carbs and lots of fiber. The price is a little high. I didn't realize until I got it that the three boxes were not 16 oz each, but only 8 oz each. The instructions say boil for 6 to 10 minutes. I boiled it for more than 10 minutes, no more than 15 but it was still very coarse but tasted fine. I made half of a box and mixed in steamed broccoli, butter, seasoning salt, parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. We will be sure to eat all of it. Due to the price I'm not positive I will reorder, but I might. Honestly, I'm not going to be making any carb-free pasta myself, so from that perspective it's well worth the price.

Honest Review
As a Type 2 Diabetic I was looking forward to eating pasta again. I really wanted to like this pasta! Unfortunately it is not very good. I realize it’s not going to be exactly like normal pasta - but this is nothing like pasta at all. It is tough & grainy, the flavor taste like dust, and it doesn’t hold sauce at all. I had read that cooking times needed to be at least doubled - so I cooked it for 18 minutes. Even doubling the cook time results is spaghetti that is still very stiff. Not like al dente stiff - think more like a bundle of zip ties stiff. It won’t twirl around your fork at all. It bends, but it won’t twirl. The texture is very grainy. It’s closer to dry oatmeal in texture than pasta. It doesn’t chew right. The taste is odd. Odd enough that it pushes through the flavor of a green pepper & mushroom sauce. And for what ever reason sauce does not stick to this pasta. You have to try to scrap sauce up with the fork while you’re eating it to get any sauce. And finally - I found this very odd as well - it did not hold heat. I’m a fast eater, and this stuff got cold very quickly. I do NOT recommend! I’m going to ask Amazon for a refund - if they refuse I’ll trash it. I’d rather not eat pasta than eat this garbage ever again!

Macros are great, taste is OK, price is insane…
It’s just OK, honestly, I’d rather just eat a smaller portion of “real” pasta, especially given the price which is easily 10x basic Barilla. Home cooked pasta meals should be cheap, this is on par or worse than restaurant prices. It isn’t made from the hair of actual angels or anything. No matter how much you cook it, it never gets to “al dente”, so the texture is off. The taste is not bad, but it has a distinct taste unlike regular pasta, so it kind of distracts from the sauce instead of being taste neutral. The taste just doesn’t improve anything, it is just conspicuous, and unexpected. Being on the firmer side of al dente doesn’t help the experience. Bought this for my keto crazy teenage son to prove a point, and since he’ll be paying for any further boxes of this stuff, I think he got the point…
