Size and storage
I bought the larger one. It works great and I like that I can store some fire starters and a pocket bellow inside the tube. It's a bit big but it's nice having everything you need in one.

Good Price
Got as a Christmas gift for my nephew in law who loves to hike, camp, and paddle board. I like that it is waterproof and think he will use it. I saw reviews that some compasses on them were broken but I didn't want to break the seal on the packaging since it is a gift to check. It seems well packaged in a stiff cardboard cylinder so I'm hoping this won't be a problem.

To big for go bag.
It works good but there are two down sides:It is too big for the go bag. Just takes up too much room and is too heavy. And the smaller version comes with a smaller rod of course which is not desirable.And the way the ferro rod is installed in the aluminum housing doesn't allow the rod to turn. This means that only half the rod is usable.
