Almost 2 years and still going
I’ve had this fan for 20 months now ! I was sure it wouldn’t last long for 35$ but maybe it could get through one brutal summer here in SW Florida . This fan has exceeded my expectations. I have this installed on my small 12x12 lanai. Cord was just long enough to have it installed in the center of the room . You can definitely feel a breeze and I’ve found myself using low quite a bit . It has 3 speed settings and they are noticeably different . It sure helps to move the air around. Ideally I think two fans in this space would be even better for air flow , but for now this gets the job done . I would buy again and hope they come out with a larger one ? Or one with a light ? Although I am completely satisfied with my purchase . Occasionally it does make some clatter when first turned on but seems to quiet itself down as it levels out and creates a small hum when even . It feels lightweight but that’s probably a good thing the way it’s meant to be hung . But Powerful despite so. This saves me space on my lanai by not having to use a floor fan .

Very powerful, works great
I mounted this in my motorhome bedroom, and it works great, three speeds and I can adjust from the comfort of my bed with the remote. Great fan especially for the price.

Overpriced disposable fan
It would be nice if someone would manufacture a high-quality fan you can connect to a D/C battery. There's a market for it. Alas, this product isn't it. I was just in the middle of trying to set it up. It worked when I first used the A/C adapter and plugged it into an outlet. Then I tried it using the alligator clamps directly to a 12v D/C battery. Nothing. Tried another battery. Nothing. Tried yey another one. Nothing. Now it won't even work with the outlet. These are the old-fashioned Chinese factory work-station fans from 20 years ago, built cheaply and meant to be easily replaceable when they crap out. It's wasteful, and it doesn't work for us on the US side when the seller's profit margins are so high. In other words, we can't buy them for peanuts and toss them out whenever they quickly burn out. Mine burned out immediately. I was willing to give it a try. I guess I got lucky. Side note: The battery clamps are encased in an overly heavy duty rubber and not spaced far enough apart to connect to a standard deep-cycle battery. You'll have to cut into it. So what were they made for exactly?

Surprisingly powerful
I purchased this fan because I currently cannot afford to hire an electrician to run the electrical line for a permanent ceiling fan through the attic. I have cathedral ceilings with an open floor plan which makes that quite difficult. The really good news first: This little fan is surprisingly powerful while overall pretty quiet. It is a lot quieter than my pedestal fan. I mounted it pretty close to where I’m sitting on the couch because I wanted to actually feel the wind. I didn’t give it 5 stars because: 1. In the first and second speed (lowest) it emits a very high pitch noise. If your hearing is super-good it might be very bothersome when the house is quiet like it is for me. I cannot run it on low speed unless music is on. In the lowest gear it also has a low frequency vibration that’s for some reason picked up by something in my ceiling and amplified. Double whammy. 2. When switching it on and off the motor literally wrenches on the little hanging loop to a degree that it works the power cord loose within a short time. I managed to get that under control by wrapping the hook and the loop in sticky insulation tape that gives and buffers the movement and tape down the power connector as well. Going up onto the ladder every couple of days didn’t appeal. Did I mention I have cathedral ceilings? 3. Note that it cannot reverse the direction for winter/summer. If you need that, this fan is not for you. 4. When first installing it make sure to push the blades in *really* well. Not just until you feel resistance but until you hear and feel an audible click. Then they will not come out as some reviews have claimed. Aside from those issues the fan is wonderful in the current high temperatures! Much better than my pedestal fans and using a fraction of the electricity those eat up. It’s been running almost continuously for a couple of weeks and I love it.

Great for small spaces and outdoor use
I bought this portable ceiling fan for my gazebo, and it works really well! The airflow is strong enough to keep the area cool, and the remote control makes it super convenient. It’s lightweight and easy to hang, perfect for camping or using on the porch. The only downside is that it’s not very powerful for large rooms, but for small spaces it does the job perfectly. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

Works great and then doesn't....
Installed easily (make sure to install the blades as shown in the image with the "700mm" facing up) and worked great, moves a ton of air, cools a large outdoor gazebo area and keeps the bugs away. Used it the entire summer of 2024 and then put it away for the winter. Took it out two weeks ago and it no longer works. Replaced the batteries in the remote, the remote LED (bright red) lights up when I press the buttons, but no response. Pressing the physical button does nothing either. Upset because it worked great when it worked, but not sure why a few months in a box in the basement would kill it. There is a blank button on the remote, I wasn't sure if that was for pairing with the fan? But there are no instructions anywhere so not sure if that's required. Will probably purchase a different model for now, but would come back to this fan if I could get more than 5 months out of it...

This fan has a defect, every time you start it or change the speed is jolts viciously, and the plug pops out. It doesn’t matter how you string up the power cord the power cord still pops out of its socket! I ordered another one thinking it was defective and the replacement does the same thing, very disappointed. I contacted the company and they respond without offering any help or options and the thing is they’re aware of the problem. When you continue the conversation they just stop responding and ignore you! Don’t waste your time and money dealing with a company that doesn’t respect their customers.

I left four stars because these fans work well. HOWEVER, after a week, it began to develop issues when I turn it on. It would start to spin for one second and then stop. Turn it on again, it would spin for one second and stop. The only way I could keep it going is to hit start one second, and hit start a second time one second later. I love this fan, but may need to return it due to this issue. I also bought a second one (both for my sun room that gets very warm, but it is still in the box, so I hope this flaw is not something they all have. Update: I figured out the reason this fan was not starting was due to the "centrifugal kick" it has when it tries to start. That kick was moving the power connector on the top that caused a slight interruption to the power. I was able to fix this by using a tyrap binding the cable so it won't move when it kicks on.

Can't stress it enough when inserting the blades, it won't do the trick unless you hear the click! The remote is a bit hit and miss and the main spindle has a bit of a kick to it when activated or stepping the motor up or down so best to secure it tightly if using the hook. Provides a nice breeze in my gazebo making a humid day (near 30 degrees Celsius/86 Fahrenheit) actually comfortable. Other than that, it works - a decent product for a good price!
