Harris Washing Soda, Sodium Carbonate, Laundry Booster and Multipurpose Cleaner, No Additives or Fragrances, 10lb

I have started making my own washing detergent, using this with other ingredients, I have been very pleased and satisfied with the results, it has saved me a lot of money.

The packaging leaked inside of the delivery box as it was bashed around and the box was oversize and it leaked all over my front porch when I picked it up. Probably not the manufacturer's fault but the power is caustic and has a very high pH when mixed with water. It is really good at pouring out and the powder doesn't seem to clump. It is great at dissolving fat in laundry.

EDIT: seen it was available and just ordered some! Yayyy! This stuff is gold! I used it for about 2 years until it wasn’t available on here anymore. This was the start of making my own laundry detergent and it washed our clothes magnificently! They had no smell to them and took out all the grime and stuff from my husband’s work clothes. Of course using other ingredients mixed it. Worth the price on the amount of product I get.

I highly recommend this product! I recently have got into not just surface level cleaning in my home but deep cleaning! Turns out that Washing Soda is the secret sauce! I use this as a booster in my laundry (I used to use borax but learned that only works with high temps, washing soda works with all temps!). I also use this in my own laundry detergent and soaking my sink grates! I have soaked towels and sheets in it and they come out looking like new! I have also used it as a concentrated paste for laundry stains (better than any other stain remover IMO). This is a non toxic, inexpensive, multi purpose product that I will always have on hand. I also have not been able to find this quantity for the price! Shipped quickly and was not leaking in the packaging (sometimes powdered items spill in shipment I have noticed and that was not the case with this product).

I received it, however a hole led some of the product to leave the bag. It is actually the sides of the bag that are causing the bags product to come out of the bag. I hope in the future this will not happen. For This issue I feel that it should be placed inside of a large clear bag.

The Harris Washing Soda & Borax do a better job in dissolving in the Wahing Machine than other brands I have tried. I consider the 10 LB bag size a value since just 1 scoop each added with less than half of my favorite detergent works great. This combo removes residue & grime from clothes & towels leaving them feeling clean & fresh. I was disappointed to see this time the bag was broken and spilling outside the box upon delivery. Inside the box the Washing Soda bag had been taped with clear packaging tape. Arg…full price for damaged taped leaking bag. Thus 4 Stars not 5. Keep that in mind when ordering. Harris - Offer in buckets please!

Good value for money

The bag came apart at the seam. Not sure if it was a manufacturing flaw of the bag or an issue with shipping. The product itself is just what I needed though.

The product was spilling out of the box the bag was packed in when I received it. Sent it back
