Very loud and durable; the sound carries well across distances and cuts through distractions, so these are perfect for use in field work and long-distance reinforcement. Mine haven't rusted when exposed to damp conditions yet, although they do warp and soften with extensive use like any clicker will. I recommend pairing them with some leather holders that are on the market to extend their functional life and to make them a bit more comfortable in your hand, which also has the added effect of dampening the metallic sound.These are a bit too noisy for use indoors or with sensitive dogs, however, so it's always advised to have a variety of tools available to suit the situation. If you work outdoors off-leash frequently, these are a must-have in my book.

Excellent product. My dog understood it's meaning instantly. Before I would say, "sit, sit, sit" Now I say sit and then click and he sits instantly. I don't even use the clicker anymore. It somehow taught him I mean business. I use it as "or else". So I give him a command he knows, but choses to ignore. If he doesn't do it right away, I click him. He also now looks back at me often when we are walking. It really was remarkable how well this little thing worked.

I purchased these clickers for Search and Rescue. They are very well made and durable! They are also loud unlike the plastic version.

Quick shipping. Items seem as advertised but the metal is as thin as it can be and still work. One of the three clickers clicks but does not reset itself and must be "reset" with your thumb in order to click again. Second problem is that the edges of the metal your finger goes on has very sharp edges which need to be sanded down to avoid cutting your finger. Think razer blade sharp. So flicking the clicking part to reset risks cutting yourself. Not good. Positive is that the click is loud and my puppy stops in her tracks when she hears it. I give a 4 star review had one of three items not failed.

After owning this for about a month, and using it occasionally, the stamped metal that makes the click started to crack, and after that it doesn’t make an audible click at all

If you purchase this as a WW2 cricket, it’s not made as well as the original (but what is nowadays). It is louder than original as well. Much louder than the others I own. It does work though. As for dog training, I’ve been using with my dog and it is effective at getting his attention.

I used these to set off sound activated Halloween animatronics as kids walked past them. They worked great and could set off most animatronics even from a decent distance.
