This Model Of The History of flight series is the premium airplane model, the device is capable of signaling any eventual detail nachbilden. Great model of an SBD Dauntless
This is a great model of an SBD Dauntless and the only model I could find that was pre-assembled. The painting is very well done and the Dauntless is painted to represent a Dauntless from the USS Lexington in 1941. One thing I have noticed though is that the model tends to lean to the side on the stand. The SBD Dauntless was a key part in the United States Victory at Midway in 1942 sinking three aircraft carriers and causing enough damage to the fourth for the Japanese to scuttle the carrier.

The best Oxford model so far
I was initially a bit sniffy about the Oxford models as they are not quite of the same calibre as the Corgi equivalent. However, I think they are exceptional value for money and the models I have collected so far are pretty good. Previously I have acquired the model of the Brewster Buffalo, Morraine Saulnier and the Airacobra . I was really pleased with these models but the Dauntless is by far the most impressive. For the money, it is an absolute snip and nice to be acquainted with an airplane that I had previously had as a large scale Matchbox model in the 1980s.
