The backs of these tiles are absolutely gorgeous! I love how big they are so you don’t need racks and they are made and painted really well :) I have a large Chinese Mahjong set that I really liked and have been looking for a large American Mahjong Set with Jokers, so these are a great find! The only downside (as other comments have mentioned) is that they don’t come with their own case, but I am going to get one for them :) These are just what I was looking for!

Well worth the money. The box these come in is so heavy it's great! They come wrapped in plastic and foam so they don't get needed to while shipping. They are engraved and painted nicely, and the back is so pretty.It's gold part is thick so it looks really nice. You truly don't need racks for them.Comes with a quick how to book and 3 die. Only thing it's missing is a bag of some sort for carrying. You can place the..in the box they come in, but it's just a brown box.Love this set.

I know it’s my fault for not the measurements against my current mahjong game but I never knew mahjong tiles came this large. You can see the difference in the first two pictures. I was surprised that the tiles actually fit on the rack. Fourteen come right to the end. They don’t, however, fit on the pushers. I would have thought these weren’t meant to use with racks but they show a picture of them on a rack in the directions.These are good quality tiles and they clearly say the size and call them large in the write up. The only reason I gave them three stars is I think it should have at least came with a carrying case. Racks would have been nice too.

There are Japanese, Chinese, and American variants, and each set is a bit different.This is an American set that means that this one comes with Jokers (wild tiles).The set was a mixed bag, and, while I love the tiles, the price is a bit steep for what you get.PROs: the tile backs are beautiful, sparkly gold; the tiles are thick and will wear well; it is a complete setCONs: the set did not come with a carrying case; the rules included are elementary to the point that without supplements you could not play the game; the colors on some of the tiles are either off or minimal or both (for example, the green dragon is blue, and the white dragon is just a blank tile - confusing to a newcomer who might think that these are extra blank tiles in case you lose one)For a family of long-time gamers and Mahjongg players, this is a lovely way of refreshing your old set with some new, fun, unique tiles.If you are a newcomer to Mahjongg then you are probably going to want to buy a different set that comes with more comprehensive instructions and a carrying case.
