Review: Great family game, beautiful artwork! - Love this new version of ecosystems. We have the original and sort of expected this to be exactly the same with new artwork, however there are different rules for these animals in order to score points. I love that the concept remains the same, but with new things to work around. Just like the first game, the artwork on this one is beautiful! It's easy enough to teach that my 6 year old can play fairly well. Great game for 3 plus players, we've played with 5 and everyone enjoyed it! ## Features - SCIENCE BOARD GAME: Embark on a captivating journey into the heart of the African savanna with Ecosystem: Savanna, a compelling card drafting game that brings the beauty and challenges of this diverse ecosystem to your tabletop; Craft your own thriving ecosystem by strategically selecting animal and landform cards, aiming to mimic the intricate balance of the grasslands - EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING: The strategic gameplay is not only engaging but also educational; Dive into the complexities of species interactions, ecological balance, and resource management, mirroring the challenges faced by iconic species like lions, zebras, and elephants; The goal is to create harmonious habitats that maximize the growth of species and landforms, generating points through strategic placements - VISUALLY CAPTIVATING EXPERIENCE: Enjoy the stunning artwork that brings the savanna's vibrant flora and fauna to life; Immerse yourself further in the game's captivating artwork, inspired by the Serengeti's breathtaking landscapes; The game's aesthetic appeal makes each session an engaging and sensory-rich experience, similar to the sensory adaptations of elephants' trunks and hyenas' heightened senses - PERFECT FOR GAME NIGHTS: The combination of entertainment and learning makes Ecosystem Savanna an ideal choice for family game nights, educators looking to enhance their lessons, and nature enthusiasts seeking intellectually stimulating leisure; Challenge friends and family in the multiplayer mode, where you'll compete to create the most flourishing ecosystem; Score points based on card placement, and prove your ecological expertise to claim victory ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C8PW5Y97 | | Age Range Description | Kid, Toddlers | | Age range (description) | Kid, Toddlers | | Best Sellers Rank | #73,500 in Toys ( See Top 100 in Toys ) #2,342 in Board Games | | Brand | Genius Games | | Brand Name | Genius Games | | Color | Multicolor | | Colour | Multicolor | | Container Type | Box | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 59 Reviews | | Edition | Savanna | | Educational Objective | Logical Thinking, Problem Solving Skill | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00745687483097 | | Grenre | Educational | | Included Components | Cards | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 24 x 18 x 0.1 centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W | 41L x 114W millimeters | | Item Type Name | Card Game | | Item Weight | 0.31 Kilograms | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Genius Games | | Manufacturer Part Number | ecosystem-parent | | Manufacturer recommended age | 8 years and up | | Material | Cardboard | | Material Type | Cardboard | | Model Name | Ecosysteem: Savanne | | Model Number | 7014 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Players | 2-6 | | Number of players | 2-6 | | Operation Mode | manual | | Other Special Features of the Product | Portable | | Package Quantity | 1 | | Power Source | manual | | Product Style | Classic | | Set Name | Ecosystem: Savanna | | Size | 7.09 x 9.45 x 0.04 inches | | Subject Character | Savanna Ecosystem | | Theme | Animals | | UPC | 745687483097 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Kid, Toddlers - **Brand:** Genius Games - **Material:** Cardboard - **Number of players:** 2-6 - **Theme:** Animals ## Images ![Genius Games Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board for rs, Students & Teachers - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81l6RH8e6YL.jpg) ![Genius Games Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board for rs, Students & Teachers - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81gGXU2GOnL.jpg) ![Genius Games Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board for rs, Students & Teachers - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710QJv5qvcL.jpg) ![Genius Games Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board for rs, Students & Teachers - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81CshrKAkCL.jpg) ![Genius Games Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board for rs, Students & Teachers - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81NZHLBJplL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super Fun! *by M***N on 22 August 2026* This is a super fun game! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great family game, beautiful artwork! *by S***Y on 29 September 2025* Love this new version of ecosystems. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun educational game, tricky scoring *by K***. on 28 November 2023* My kids were all excited to play this Savanna version of Ecosystem. My 9yo seemed to understand the game concept well enough. The younger children (ages 4 and 5) each paired with an adult to form teams. Although they didn't really understand the rules, they were interested to learn about animals of the Serengeti Savanna and how they create an ecosystem. The gameplay is a simple concept -- each player has a hand of cards to choose from, places one in their grid and then passes their hand. This forces players to use the "best" cards in their hands rather than trying to save them for later. The tricky part is understanding how best to use the cards to score points. There are guide cards for each player that explain how to score points with each card type. Trying to figure out the best strategy for building an ecosystem is definitely not mastered in a single game. The gameplay goes fairly quickly, but scoring everyone's cards can take a while, especially the first time playing. There is also a solo version of the game included in the instructions. Instead of trading hands with another player, you alternate between playing a card into your grid, discarding a card into the 'opponent' Swala's grid and drawing new cards. To win, you must beat Swala by 55 points for an easy victory, 75 points for normal, or 85 points for difficult (you choose the difficulty level you want to play). In some ways, this is an easier way to play, since you're able to choose which cards to use and which to discard, so there's a lot more freedom in planning how to build your ecosystem. The cards and game scoring guides are all sturdy and well-made. The printed cards are colorful and beautiful. The included scorepad is helpful and contains plenty of sheets for gameplay. Overall, this is a really nice educational game for learning about the savanna ecosystem. The instructions also include a section with information about the different animals and features of the savanna ecosystem. Due to the complicated scoring, I would recommend that at least one adult or teen who doesn't mind math plays to help kids with the scoring. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ecosystem: Savanna - A Family Card Game About Animals on Grassy Woodland of African Savanna - Fun & Educational Ecology Game for Kids & Adults - Strategy Board Game for Gamers, Students & Teachers - Genius Games - 74568 Ecosystem Ecology Board Game - Educational Wildlife Nature Biology Animal Food Chain Habitat - Stem - Science --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/551934058-genius-games-ecosystem-savanna-a-family-card-about-animals-on](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/551934058-genius-games-ecosystem-savanna-a-family-card-about-animals-on) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
