They attach to shirts and socks easily, and the plastic on the latches prevents the material from being damaged. I've never had them come unattached. They are initially a bit tough to size, but once you get the perfect length they are easy to put on. Best of all, they work very well. It's really nice to simply adjust my belt and have my shirt automatically tuck back in for me. The only complaint is that they are not super comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I don't wear them all day -- just a few hours at a time. By then, I'm excited to take them off because the snap at the top of each sock normally has started to wear on my leg. If I had to wear them all day, I would look into covering the snaps some to prevent this irritation. There are no other comfort issues -- just at the top of the socks.
