World War Two: 500 Interesting Facts About Major Events, Battles, and People (Curious Histories Collection)

This was my first from the '500 interesting facts...' series and it will definitely not be my last. I felt it was well organised with each 'Chapter' linking to a specific event, battle or person. The facts were interesting and well presented which made it easy to follow. I would strongly recommend it to parents with children who are interested in WWII and always ask lots of questions as it is easy to follow and also easy to find the relevant information. Interesting nuggets about general lesser known incidents during the Great War. And , one can always pursue the ones which raise your curiosity.

This book has some interesting information in it. I wouldn't call this a trivia book exactly more of a fact book to me. Still it is packed with information that could lead you to wanting to know more. One thing that is unusual is the list of source material at the end of the book. Want to know about World War Two this is a good place to start.

Fast read with great characters and a great setting. I enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I read with interest this book about the war known as the worst in our history. I highlight as a positive that he approached the topic from many angles and presented facts. Mentioning the most significant battles, the most important actors on both sides, also addressing the fact of inhumanity, such as the Holocaust. What is negative for me in the publications reporting these facts, as this time too, is that they are a bit dry, and in many places I would have preferred to read more than a single sentence about a single fact. All in all, it's good for those who just want to gain an insight into what this war was like.
