Really love this lock
We bought this to replace a vertical lock on a tall 1900 door. The current lock wouldn't stay closed and needed a stool to reach. This lock is very sturdy, looks nice, doesn't "fall down" due to gravity and stays locked even if the door is wiggled. I also like the extra length because we can reach without a stool.

The surface bolt is of very good quality, and exactly as described in listing.

Failure in parts after just three months.
Failure in parts after just 3 months of use, the ball bearing detent system failed on the bottom door, which means the bolt can no longer be held up. Had to duct tape the bolt to the door. Additionally, the installation instructions were lacking ( what is correct distance from barrel to barrel ."? Just had to wing it. There is a limited lifetime warranty, but no one to call at Amazon. Hoping this gets resolved. Will update.
