Works perfectly! I filled it with alcohol, put the lid on it and took it in my bee tool box to do my inspection. While I had the hive open I took it apart used the lid to gather my bees and had my mite test done in no time. Super easy to use!!!

This has made my bee testing process so incredibly easy. Easy assembly and disassembly for washing and storing, simple to use, easy separation of bees and mite chamber for counting. The cup itself is the perfect size for scooping the right amount of bees for testing. Its larger size also makes it so easy to use without having to take bee gloves off. Definitely one of the better models I’ve used! Great for beginners in beekeeping

This is effective and easy to use

I love almost everything about it. It’s easy, it’s fast, it’s practical. Only thing I don’t like: it’s not air/liquid tight.The point of an alcohol wash is to slosh the bees around in alcohol, removing the mites. This can be hard to do when a fair amount of your alcohol leaks out during said sloshing. It leaks…a lot. I think with some minor adjustments, it could be perfect. It is very good, it gives accurate and easy counts. Just wish it was less messy and I would feel more confident if my alcohol levels were near at what they were, pre-slosh and know certainly I wasn’t having mites slip through with the lost alcohol.

I had a cheap thing that used glued lids on mason jars with holes. This is much better and easier. Very nice.
