Have tried other foods, want healthy & good food for my baby!
I like Simply Naked, my pup gobbles it and as little bc as my Vet keeps telling me he is healthy & well we will continue to feed this to our boy. No offensive smell, small kernel size, costs a bit more but no chicken which he has allergies to and are hidden in so many dog foods and we are not aware of. Our boy is like our child and unfortunately we have had a former dog killed by a food we trusted so we are very careful. Always have been but not all companies are honest and trustworthy.

Alaska Salmon Delight!
Hey Pet Lovers! So, I recently decided to treat my furball to the Wild Alaska Salmon Grain-Free Dog Food, and let me tell you, it's like a culinary adventure for dogs. Here's the scoop from a discerning pup parent:First things first, major props for the no-grain situation. My dog is like the gluten-free guru of the canine world, so this was a win. And the fact that it's chicken-free and devoid of mysterious animal by-products? Two paws up for transparency! I feel like I'm reading the label of a gourmet meal, not just dog chow. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – wild-caught Alaska salmon. It's like my dog is dining in a Michelin-starred seafood restaurant. I'm half expecting him to start rating his meals. And the Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids? It's like giving him a spa day for his coat and skin. Shine on, you fabulous furball! But, and here's where I become the canine Gordon Ramsay, the bag size – 4 pounds. Really? It's like an appetizer portion. My dog, who fancies himself a food critic, gave me the side-eye when I presented him with the bag. A larger size option would be like upgrading to the full-course meal. Also, the aroma – not gonna lie, it's a bit on the fishy side. I get it, it's salmon, but my dog now smells like a walking sushi bar. A milder scent option would be appreciated. I don't want my living room to turn into a seafood market. On the upside, kudos for the made-in-the-USA badge. It's like a culinary passport stamp that assures me I'm giving my dog the best from our shores. I can almost hear him saying, "I only eat domestically, darling."

Legumes are the grain substitute, but still a healthier choice than most
The Simply Naked pet food company's mission, from their website is : To provide pure, holistic, and superior nutrition for pets straight from the sea with recipes that are naked, nutritious, and fish-first.Salmon and salmon meal are the 1st 2 ingredients in this SIMPLY NAKED Wild Alaskan Salmon Grain-Free Dog Food. It' nice that there are no other animal by products. The ingredient list seems very healthy and very natural with no nasty stuff. When companies take out the grains - which are the fillers that dogs don't need, they have to put something else in to stay profitable, and it's usually legumes, which are another thing dogs don't need. Legumes are the 4th and 5th ingredients in this food. I only feed legumes occasionally.IF you watch what you eat, and in turn want to feed healthy to your pets, this is an ok choice but at $8 per lb, get their 24 lb bag for half the cost.A few years ago, I purchased a book on Amazon by Dr. Karen Becker called "Dr Becker's Real Food For Healthy Dogs and Cats: Simple Homemade Food". I read it and started making our own food. That is SO involved and we eventually switched to a raw frozen food that offers the complete nutrition the dogs need. Going that route was more convenient, but still not as convenient as kibble. The frozen raw we feed is about $4 per lb and because it has no fillers, each 60 lb adult dog in our house only needs 1 lb per day. According to the Simply Naked bag,my dog would need 4 cups of the Simply Naked kibble per day, which is also 1 lb.While for the best nutrition without grains OR legumes, I still prefer our frozen raw food, I would definitely use this Simply Naked kibble as an occasional food when convenience wins, like if we are traveling with our girls, have to rely on someone else to feed, or need something for use in the dog puzzles. Our 2 dogs and 2 cats that ate the SIMPLY NAKED Wild Alaskan Salmon Grain-Free Dog Food loved it.

SIMPLY NAKED Wild Select Seafood Dog Food
Not sure if it was that I had too much of it mixed with y dogs regular food so that I could wean her onto it, or if it just something that disagrees with her. It didn't seem to agree with her. It didn't cause her diarrhea, but it did give her very loose movements for a number of days. I had to put her on the old faithful chicken and rice for her meals to get her back to her normal stool when she pooped.

New training treats
My dog is an 80 pound little piggy. I opened this bag to let her smell it and she lunged for it, shoving her muzzle down in to the bag to eat as much as I could, as quickly as she could before I stopped her. She knows better but she couldn’t help it.I have commercially fished salmon in Alaska and I know how much care, time and money goes in to sustainably catching wild Alaskan Salmon. This product is one of a kind. I aspire to buy as much as I can since I know this is probably the only or one of the only companies that truly is providing wild salmon.Excellent product. For now I’ll use this as training treats since my dog will do anything to get more of it.
