I love these candles! They are soft glowing and batteries last a LONG time. I hung these in my windows for Christmas and now have them hanging Harry Potter style in the living room. The wand remote is GREAT, it's pretty and well made, not bulky or cheap. I LOVE the timer feature, I use the wand to turn them on and onto a 6hr timer at 6pm and they automatically turn off at midnight and back on again at 6pm. A great feature of these candies is that they come pre-strung with fishing line at the tip of the flame, they hang straight, not wonky. Also, they're long and slender and clean looking, with a soft glow - other floating candles I've tried are OK, but they have more of an orange glow, are shorter, fatter, have more cartoonish shapes and molding to them, plus they hang crooked. These are more magical and whimsical rather than toy-like. I love them

Well, specifically, my teenager declared them "pretty sick" with a smile. I wanted to make sure our oldest had a little holiday magic still this year, so hung these in the bedroom. I wanted to minimize the marks on the ceiling & be able to reuse the plastic hangers in the future, so I bought several sheets of posterboard, stuck the hangers on the posterboard, and then used thumbtacks to hang the posterboard. It doesn't lay as flush to the ceiling as I'd like (I used gaffer tape along the seams, and that looked cleaner), but it did make installation super easy. Recommend stringing the candles before hanging the posterboard (saves pain for both arms and eyes!). Also, I kind of wish I'd hung the sections of candles farther apart around the room--the wand is pretty fabulous, but it also tends to turn all the candles nearby on at once, and it would be more fun to be able to "flick" them on in groups. Next year. Packaging was smart, and the pre-strung system worked perfectly, and the wand feels so good to hold!

These were perfect for some added Christmas decor and coziness. Easy to put up, stuck to the ceiling well. Love the quality and size is great!

I was super excited to get these hanging candles for Halloween. I really love them. Unfortunately, one of the candles stopped working after the first time I turned it on. The string is super long so you could totally hang this up on a 12 ft ceiling if you had a big enough ladder. I would recommend them again with the understanding that you might get a dud like me. Update: this is my second year using them. I put fresh batteries in them October 1st. It’s now Nov. 1st and only 7 still work. They made it through my Halloween party which was great but I’ll have to throw half of them out now. They’re definitely not made to last.

I purchased these as a gift for a coworker that is a very big Harry Potter fan. I don’t expect her to hang them from the ceiling, but instead use them around her house and especially on her fireplace mantle. Batteries are not included, so be prepared to have a lot of AA batteries on hand if you want to present them being ready-to-use. I install batteries in four of the candles and the wand just to make sure that everything is working properly before I present it. I have to say, these are really cute. The light flickers so that it looks more natural, the wand works perfectly, and the fishing wire is already attached to the tip of the flame so they are easy to hang if you choose that option. But, if you don’t want to hang them, you cannot even see the fishing wire wrapped around the candle So you have options, and you don’t need to permanently choose either one of the options. This is a great product, and I know she will be very excited to have them.

I really want to give these 5 stars. They are beautiful and I love them. Unfortunately the battery life is awful. Each one needs and individual battery and ours only lasted a month. We only turned them on at night and turned them off before bed. They aren't worth it for the amount of time it took to put them up and how much replacing the batteries would cost. I also had two fall down which is scary since I have a baby in that room.

Wish I would have dug through all the reviews to know about the adhesive ruining my ceiling. I took one down and saw what happened and came here to see if it's a common problem. I only saw one review about it and I really had to find it. Now I have no idea how to take them down without ruining my ceiling! The candles are great and I love them, but if I knew it would ruin my ceiling I wouldn't have spent the money. 3 stars just because the candles are pretty cool.

I bought these for my son’s birthday to hang above his bed. I still have more to hang but he LOVES these. The wand looks really cool too that’s another favorite part because it looks more like a wand and faux wood than other sets we looked at. It takes quite awhile to hang them but the effect is worth the effort. The only issue we discovered was turning the candles on also turns his tv on. No other remote for other lighted things in his room do that, only this wand. We just covered the receiver on the tv to play with the lights. Super cool and worth it.

2 in the box never worked and the rest worked once. changed batteries several times but still will not work. Unable to return due to putting clips on them so I could put them on my xmas tree. Not worth money.

These are only 6 inches and take AAA. Not what they list!
