Bought four of these! Be careful the screws are backwards sliver (white) and brass (black)Look real close on the back of the device, in very small print W, Y, G, are stamped on the back, the letters are correct.The screws are put in wrong.Also the plate screws are tapped wrong it’s a 8-32 thread. It should be a 6-32 thread.The device works but wiring incorrectly can cause serious harm!

Product is mismanufactured. Hot and Neutral screw terminals are misplaced. Amazon should boot this product and pay more attention to what they sell. I certainly will use a little more discretion when buying from Amazon on the go forward.

Used this on a Temporary power pole ! Couldn’t read numbers on this product! It came with no screws to fasten it in !

I bought these because of the convenience and low cost. The case broke on one and it's impossible to clamp the wires tightly as the terminals are flimsy. Forget them and buy a decent Leviton or Hubbell product from Home Depot or Lowe's.

The live and neutral screws are mixed up. It had no UL electrical approvals. Doubt it can take 30 amps like they rated it at. This is an illegal device and using it could start a fire and burn down your house.

Amazon made it 3asy to get this replacement 30amp specialty locking style plug socket. It replaced easily and fit the cover plate perfectly!
