will these fit tighlty in a 5/16 hole?

The head diameter of this protective sleeves is 11/32". It is not recommended for 5/16" holes. It is recommended that you use protective sleeves CR88, and its head diameter is 15/32 ". You could search Muzata CR88 on Amazon. Hoping this would be helpful for you.
