Great gear replacement kit
This gear kit is perfect for restoring a Hayward Navigator directional control to top notch condition. Everything is included and the fit was excellent. The only issue I encountered was that the base of the stainless steel pin for holding the large blue grill was slightly larger in diameter than the old pin. This could be due to my vac being 12 years old. It was an easy fix by just reaming to hole slightly larger with the proper size drill bit. I was stunned at the improvement in how much better my pool vac travels around the pool and am super pleased with the kit. It’s a great value and I would definitely order it again.

Be sure to tighten the feet paddles on each side. Mine needed to be very tight. Moves great now!

Easy to install.
If you are a new pool owner, or at least a new Hayward vacuum owner, you WILL have to work on your vacuum. All of the needed rebuild parts are right here on Amazon. Just pay attention when you take it apart and it all goes back together easy. You will get good at it. This navigation gear set worked as advertised. My vacuum now makes left turns again.
