Saved my expensive French press from being useless

I was worried it wouldn't fit for my small French press that was a different brand but it did! So very happy much cheaper than buying a new French press. The coffee making from home continues

I bought this to replace a missing piece on my French press. It was a little better then buying a new French pressed but overpriced considering it's only a small replacement piece!

For what it is, this is a bit expensive. This screw nut fits Bodum and other brands of French press plunger assemblies.!Bodum (and I suspect other brsnds) replaced this steel nut with a plastic, heat shrink, friction fitted version. The plastic stem eventually works itself loose and the press no longer works effectively. i replaced the plastic stem with this steel version and the press works perfectly, again. I have had a French press with this type of steel nut for over 10 years and the entire press/plunger assembly has held up beautifully (you may want to replace the mesh strainer, every couple of years. )

I lost the nut to my original French Press upon cleaning. I was ready to chuck the whole thing and start over. Then, I found exactly the piece I was missing. Sure beats buying an entire $40 press!
