Genuine Good Investment! Repurposable, still using it months later
Came to leave a review because its just so handy! If you're considering it, just get one, super easy to repurpose for different injuries through life and very comfy for your dog. We use it for nearly everything our girl (a lean 65 lb female golden retriever) needs a "cone of shame" for. Itchy hot spots, torn paw pads. The only thing is that she is flexible and can reach halfway up her back legs with it on still, to nibble with her teeth. So watch and supervise your dog if you need this for any leg/paw uses, it might not be as preventative as a traditional cone/Elizabethian collar. It's practical for getting around the house, it's comfortable for resting/sleep, even putting it on is a familiar process to her since its just like a chunky collar in her brain lol. The strap is a little thin, just a 1 inch long strip of velcro to keep it on, so if your dog's a fighter or crafty you'll probably have to use the inner loops to put it on a tight collar so they dont slip out of it. No issues personally with my dog doing that though. It's also durable material, washable cover, the toughest part is getting the little blow hole accessible and then back tucked away again, but luckily it doesn't need reinflating very often. Can last months (albeit it wasn't in use). It's also cute so when I share pictures of her people think "aw lol" and not "dang that dog looks depressed". The best part is that it's actually practical to live with it on 24/7 for weeks on end, so it speeds up the healing process and keeps us on track. Unlike taking a clunky collar off out of pity because they cant even drink water/not bump into walls/have full visibility. It's just a genuine realistic method and my dog and I are both happy

Much more comfortable than the traditional cone
My dog accepted this inflatable collar from the first moment and, unlike the traditional plastic cone, it does not try to take it off. It is noticeable that it is much more comfortable and soft, he even uses it as a support for sleep, so he can rest better during his recovery. I liked that it is flexible and allows you to walk, eat and move much more easily than a rigid cone. I don't leave it on for many hours in a row, but when you need to avoid licking the affected area it fulfills its function very well. So far it has also proven to be resistant and keeps its shape well after use. Compared to traditional collars, this has been a much superior option both for the comfort for my dog and for the tranquility it gives me during his recovery. I would definitely buy it again.

Excellent alternative to the dreaded cone of shame...
This donut fits well, it's cute, and it stays on when using the collar loops. My dog is able to eat and drink while wearing it. I think he can still reach his feet if he tried hard enough, but it's annoying enough to completely deter him. You do have to keep the velcro strap closure towards the back of his neck, though. The only time I saw him licking his feet was when I allowed the closure to turn to the front. However, we had no trouble keeping it in position when comfortably snug. After the initial 30 minutes or so of adjustment, my dog got around and existed without issue. I caught him snoozing on his built-in head pillow many times! I was impressed by how well it kept air; I didn't have to refill it at all during the week he wore it. I'm altogether very happy with my purchase.

Nice collar but weird sizing
This is a cute collar. It works well, and it seems sturdy. I've only used it a week, but my dog has not been gentle with it, and it has not torn or deflated at all. The sizing, however, is a little difficult. My dog's neck is 14" so according to the size chart he could fit a large or extra large. I ordered the large first, and it was a little loose around his neck. I worried he would slip it off when I wasn't home. So I ordered the large for a snugger fit, but it was way too small! And he could reach around to lick his incision with it on. I ended up returning the large and keeping the XL, but I wish there was an in between. I put a flat collar through the inside loops to hold it a little better, and it hasn't been a problem.

So cute and it works!
We loved the donut. Our boy had a bug bite on his arm and this donut made his injury a lot less depressing. He seems comfy sleeping on it too. He's a 17lb Shih Tzu and a small fit perfectly. It's pretty adjustable too.

Functional AND Adorable!
Why does it make my puppy look so cute???? I could just eat him all up!! But that would probably lead to another vet bill, which I can't afford right now. This is a great substitution for the cone of shame!!! My puppy seemed much more comfortable and was not able to mess with his ear after his hematoma surgery. One warning- make sure it's on snug enough! There were a couple times he got his paw stuck in the strap trying to get it off and had to be detangled!

Cute, light, fun, washable, but not durable.
I’m a dog mom, a rescue volunteer, I’ve fostered, I’ve trapped-and-released strays, etc… I’ve used a lot of cones in my life, lol. My 4-pound chihuahua developed a skin thing early June where she started chewing herself until she was bleeding. I immediately made her a “cone” (similar to this donut) out of tube socks, but it was incredibly heavy for her tiny self to lug around. She looked miserable, so I came to Amazon and ordered this cone for same-day delivery. Per the measurements (def recommend taking a look at size chart and measuring your pet rather than just assuming), I ordered her a size S (she’s normally XS or XXS in things so I was a bit nervous to be choosing this size…) and it fit her perfectly. She used it without a collar at first, but learned that if she sleeps under the blankets with me she can pull her head out of it and be NAKEY!!, so we put a collar through the straps and it worked perfectly. It’s extremely light, so she can do her normal activities (everything except chewing herself..) with it on (she actually pranced around with it on for the first day 😂). She can play with it on, jump on the couch, and do her normal daily activities without crashing into walls or getting “stuck” like dogs do with the “cone of shame.” She can still eat, drink, and sleep with it on (it’s actually super cute that it holds her head up like a pillow 🥹). The cover gets dirty kinda easily with the eating and drinking and playing... I washed and dried it with my blankets and it came out just fine, good as new. The Velcro is strong (but not too strong) and it has yet to attract pet hair and lose its function. HOWEVER… ☹️ It’s now been a month that she’s been wearing it. I’m working with her vet on figuring her skin thing out, but in the meantime, she HAS to wear a cone or she chews herself raw again. Unfortunately, it has started losing air. There’s a tiny hole that’s barely visible if I hold it up to the light, but it’s somehow big enough that I’m needing to reinflate her cone like 6x/day, even if all she’s done is sleep. I’m not sure how the hole got there (she gets excited but she’s gentle). That’s the reason I’m only giving it 3 stars, I wish it had lasted longer than a month. I purchased a pool repair kit that comes with pvc glue and patches and I’m hoping that does the trick because I’m hoping to get more use out of it. I glued it today so we shall see… 🤞🏻 Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this product. 🩷 (If you look at my video, the black dog is a Chinese crested and she’s meant to be hairless, don’t worry!)

5/5 Stars – The Donut That Tamed the Pitty Princess
Listen, I knew my 90-lb, 2-year-old American Pit Bull Mix, Roxy, was going to be a problem after her TPLO surgery. This girl is not just a dog—she’s a Staffy-powered diva with the entitlement level of a celebrity who’s been told “no” exactly zero times in her life. Personal space? A myth. Boundaries? Never heard of her. One minute she’s doing zoomies like she’s training for the canine Olympics, the next she’s launching at you like an MMA fighter who’s been promised unlimited snuggles & chest rubs! So when the vet said cone of shame, I started stress-sweating. I’ve seen what this spoiled paw princess does when I try to put a simple bandanna around her neck. It’s basically a full-contact negotiation with teeth and dramatic side-eye. A hard plastic cone? I was mentally preparing for a battle royale that would end with me needing surgery next. Enter the Size XL Soft Surgical Donut. Day one: Roxy side-eyed it like it personally owed her treats. Then the prescribed cocktail kicked in and… acceptance. Not just tolerance—full diva approval. Within 48 hours this donut had gone from “weird neck pillow” to her official emotional support throne. She strutted around the house like a boxer who just won the championship belt, donut proudly on display, daring anyone to underestimate her. The quality is legitimately impressive. Super soft, yet sturdy enough to survive a hyper Staffy who occasionally forgets she’s supposed to be resting and tries to turn the living room into a demolition derby. Spills? No problem—wipe it with a damp cloth and it’s good. I even tossed it in the washing machine (gentle cycle, because I’m not a monster) and air-dried it. Stitching is tough, material feels premium, and it didn’t deflate or fall apart even after two solid weeks of Roxy using it as a snuggle buddy, pillow, and occasional chew toy when she thought I wasn’t looking. Best part? It actually worked. She could still see, hear, and—most importantly—demand snuggles without turning into a Tasmanian devil. The cone would’ve been a three-week war. The donut? Just another accessory for the princess. If your dog is a chaotic, entitled, zoomie-loving cuddle monster who thinks the world revolves around her (hi, Roxy), do yourself a favor and get the donut. It might not cure the attitude… but it will let you survive recovery without losing a limb. Highly recommend. Roxy has already demanded I buy her a second one “just because.” — One exhausted but victorious pit bull mom

So much better than the traditional plastic Elizabethan cones!
This is a great product. I originally bought a traditional plastic Elizabethan cone for our Corgi for his recovery period after his neuter and he hated it. He couldn't eat or drink properly with it on, and would get caught on things as he moved around. It was hard for him to get comfortable. It also bent and compressed his ears and I was concerned that it might damage the cartilage. After only a day I knew it wasn't working and ordered this one. It arrived same day and was easy to inflate. It has made a world of difference. It keeps him from licking, or squeezing under the furniture and hurting himself. His ears area free to stand up. It is clearly so much more comfortable for him, both walking around and sleeping. He can eat and drink with it on. He is clearly so much happier with this one. It is also very cute. I recommend this over the traditional recovery cones, especially if you have a pup whose ears stand up.

Love it!
This worked way better than I expected. The instructions show how to blow it up since the valve can be tricky. It's not a complete circle and it's actually U shaped with a velcro strap that you can adjust to the size of your dog's neck. I imagine you can also use it to attach to your dog's collar , but my dog does not wear a collar. It is cute. It is soft. It is less cumbersome than the cones. Although the picture so she's not impressed, she quickly adjusted.

Doesn’t hold air!
Seemed like a great alternative to my dog being a cone head. Sadly, the item did not hold air and was frequently deflated.

So cute and functional
This was so much better than the traditional cone. My dog was able to do everything she typically does (except lick the incision). She is completely unbothered by the donut cone.
