She writes in it daily. Lock works fine, the included pens and stickers and bracelet are a great touch, and the glittery rainbow cover is exactly what she likes. It's like the item was designed by someone who knows little girls exactly. No room for improvement.

My daughter loves journals and diaries. She’s the kid that goes to the book fair and comes home with pens and diaries and no actual books to read. This set knocked her socks off. I liked it because it didn’t have a tiny padlock and key that she would have to hide (and lose) from her siblings. I don’t know if she has set the combination or not but even if she doesn’t just that it’s there is probably enough of a deterrent. The heart necklace that it came with is well made. She even got compliments from grandparents and aunts and uncles and they thought the necklace was some expensive gift. The bracelet is too big for her now so it falls off but she loves to have her jewelry box full and she still plays with it at home. I love that she can circle the date at the top of each page and can use it here and there without it being dated and missing days. Great purchase. I would buy this again and again!

Gave this to my daughter for Christmas after she asked for a “glittery diary.” This was perfect and she loves having the lock to keep her brother out. Being a combination lock is even better since she would end up losing a key.

had a slight problem with setting the lock password and when i reached out to the seller they gave me universal unlock code which was a pian in the ass to get right but luckily I have a persistent husband who solved the code and reset the password and is working and is a beautiful secretive diary with nice additives. Bottom line don't mess up the lock when putting in a password it seems nearly impossible to reset.

Oh my, what a hit this was with one of my granddaughters! She wanted a rainbow book -- with a lock (apparently quite important for a ten year old.) I found this, great colors, plus lots of little extras, too! She couldn't have been happier! It also seemed very study, a definite plus.
