Great product, to avoid the need to charge the battery

I have big windows above my backyard door that I've been meaning to put curtains on, but because they are not easily accessible, automating it is necessary. Another important thing is to be able to charge it with solar due to its place. Switchbot curtain meet those requirements, while not require any maintenance. Setting it up with the app is very easy, and it's able to configure both curtains as one. I've also integrated it with home assistant to automatically open and close at sunrise and sundown. You can also do this with the Switchbot app. I've had it running for about 3 weeks now, and the battery stay charged at about 90%. Not sure why it doesn't go higher but it does the job. The only complain I have is the noise, due to my house's layout, I can hear it in every corner of my house. Something to keep in mind if you're putting it in a bedroom. There's quiet mode too if you can't stand it.

It's great to have the solar chargers and not have to run cords to charge the SwitchBots, but they could use a re-design. They are a bit floppy with the fold out pieces, and you can't really put them at a shorter distance without having to Jerry-rig them into place. But they do the job of keeping the Bots charge so that makes the weird design tolerable. They are moderately easy to install. A little expensive, but pretty much everything is these days. Overall, they work well and power the curtains great. I like to keep them at the slower motion because in fast motion they are too loud, but at the slow motion they are a bit quieter - you still hear them when the room is quiet, but it isn't too bad.

I purchased the solar panels as part of the whole Switchbot system and am in love with the whole thing. I've programmed my curtains to open at 8am and close at 7pm. My switchbot also works with my Alexa. I have a dark room to sleep and a bright room for daytime and the solar panels make this happen without ever charging anything or me lifting a finger to open/close.

Shortly after I plugged these into the switchbot, the switchbot curtain 3 became a brick. Now I have a solar panel for a pair of bricks that don't do anything that customer service won't replace. Don't waste your money.

These are nice little solar panels to power your curtain bot. They are USB-C, and super easy to use out of the box; just plug them in. Except when they stop working. Which seems to be fairly often. The listing says these have had a "Performance upgrade". Oddly enough, it's those two that died within 6 weeks. My older ones have mostly just kept going. I'm not sure why, but after a few months, some of these go bad - even the older versions. But then others last a few years, and still others I've never had to replace. I wish they would work on stabilizing these instead of constantly coming out with new robot models. Amazon is hinting that I need to also mention the noise level and value for money on these. I think these are a little pricey, but if you can get them on sale, go for it. And Amazon, solar panels do not make any noise.
