Reliable, brilliant value!
Wait for the reduced price offers. I originally had the below coffee maker with no fancy lights, 4 years of 6 cups a day, cleaned regularly, no gimmicks great coffee and plenty of frothy milk.. saw this one and thought I would upgrade, 2 weeks in and I’m glad I did Beto is a great make, I can attest to its reliability, and this is under 1/2 the price of anything else. Coffee is good, yes it makes a noise when grinding coffee, at least you know it’s working.. it also allows you to use 1 SCOOP of already ground coffee in a separate chute this is perfect for decaf coffee.,and the reason I upgraded, now my decaf friends can enjoy a coffee without worry, yes I can use decaf beans, but I like caffeine, it gets me up! The amount of water used for each of the drinks can be adjusted, press what you want then hold the button once it starts and release when the cup is at the level you want, it will remember it next time. The display is clear, and cleaning is a breeze with all access from the front, the older machine the grinder was at the side and difficult to get to. Look after it and it will look after you, the older coffee machine was sold locally and is still being used, that’s over 5 years old, that works out at £3.30 a month outstanding value, this one as I say is new, but I have high hopes.

Not worth the hassle.
This is a very good coffee machine that produces great tasting coffee, but only for about 4 months, then they tend to develop a fault and cannot be fixed. Amazon's tech have been great trying to sort the problem out, but Beko as a company are awful and do not honour their own warranty or consumer rights. I would not buy this or any Beko/Hotpoint product again.

Good Value Coffee Machine. Makes good coffee but has a 2 small problems
We were looking for a bean to cup machine and as usual for us research thoroughly and read or watched dozens of reviews. We wanted something fairly compact and semi or fully automatic. We opted for this Beko based upon reviews, specs, size and price as it had a good offer when we purchased. The machine is easy to use, it self cleans when you turn it on and off, holds 250g of beans in the hopper and there is a bypass if you want to use pre-ground coffee. It has am adjustable grind to suit your preferences and a wand for your frothy milk. There are a few pre-set auto coffees at the press of a button andbyou can adjust the strength again by simply pressing a button. You can also teach it to make your coffee as short or long as you like and save your preference. The coffees are really good quality, the only minor niggle is the sames as most other machines in that it is not hot enough for many people so we pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. There are 2 annoying issues with this machine. Firstly we live in a very soft water area but there are no options in the machine to input this nor ifbyou use a filter which means that we have to descale much more regularly than we need to as the machine just uses number of coffees made before needing to descale rather than adjusting for the fact we have very soft water. The second thing is the water level sensor. It is very annoying and of poor design. After just a few weeks every time you will the water tank the machine won't work as the sensor tells the machine there is no water. It is a simple float tyolpe sensor and it sticks. You have to get your hand or preferably a clean utensil into the tank and pull up the sensor to get the machine to work. Although these 2 things are annoying we are still very happy with this Beko coffee machine.

Exactly what it says on the tin
This was a gift for someone and they love it. Its so easy to set up and start to use and it makes a great cup of coffee. Its even been used for adding coffee flavour to baking. Temperature isnt too hot and its fairly quiet considering that its grinding beans and making a coffee quicky.

Wow - what a disappointment
As promised, here's the update. Had the machine for less than 48 hours and it's developed a fault. The coffee grounds indicator came on, I followed the manual, cleaned and washed everything and left it to dry and the warning light won't clear. Sending back and I have ordered a similar machine from a different brand. I've only had this machine for 24 hours so if anything changes I'll update my review but so far I am LOVING my new bean to cup coffee machine. It's so simple to use, the touch screen is bold, bright and easy to follow. For the past 10 years I have used a basic espresso machine, using pre-ground coffee however it was developing a fault so I decided to upgrade - if I buy a coffee for £3 a day, 5 days a week then I've paid off this machine in 20 weeks by drinking/making good coffee at home instead - when looking at it that way I think it's good value for money. When I switch the machine on it does a quick rinse and then I run hot water into my espresso cup to heat it up - espresso flavour develops best in a warm cup. The cup warmer feature is useful if the machine is left on for a while but not if you're like me and making a coffee, bleary eyed at stupid o'clock in the morning! I have turned the grinder down to the finest grind and my espresso is DELICIOUS!! The manual recommends that you make the espresso first and then use the steam wand to heat milk, otherwise the machine can burn the espresso. My only slight gripe is that when I'm heating my milk the steam switches itself off before the milk has reached the minimum temperature on the thermometer - I suspect I just need to practice a bit though to get it done in time. I have used a bean to cup machine before and the neighbours 3 streets over knew whenever it was being used - this one isn't silent but it's not excessively loud. If you decide to take the additional manufacturor warranty apparently the serial number is UNDERNEATH the machine (😖) so take a note of it before setting it all up.

Very good coffee maker – if you use it properly
Having traded up from a very compact Delonghi Nespresso machine that could make Lattes with one touch of a button, I was a bit taken aback by, first, the size – even though exactly as advertised, it has quite the presence on a kitchen surface – and then by the time it takes to make a drink. But now I've made a few and streamlined the process (and properly followed the instructions) I'm really delighted with this machine. Delicious, consistent, barista quality coffees in just a minute or two longer than the old machine took. That could be sped up by turning off the auto self-cleaning when you switch the machine on and off, but I'm happy to keep that on for the time being. I haven't done the full manual clean of a descale yet, as I've only had it for a few days, but all in all, I'd recommend this machine to anyone who wants to make really good coffee.
