Works perfect
Really like this shutter release. At one point, sat it outside on my camera pointing at a hummingbird feeder. I couldn’t be outside or birds stayed away, so used this so I could trigger camera from inside the house. Worked perfectly.

Does not work with the Nikon Z7ii, perhaps others - check the cable!
Updated review:The seller responded quickly to my enquiry. They first had me try a few troubleshooting steps, then they suspected the cable was faulty. They sent me a link to order a new cable from Amazon, and pre-refunded the amount of the new cable to me, so thumbs-up for customer service. As a result, I updated my 1-star rating to 3-stars.Original review:Despite the claims that this remote works with the Z family of cameras, it does not work with the Z7ii. Other reviewers have noted compatibility or reliability problems with other Z-model cameras.I have reached out to the seller to confirm the claims of compatibility, and to receive a replacement on the off-chance I received a broken unit.Even if it works with your camera, the 4-way rocker switch is temperamental when trying to switch between the operating modes — there is little 'positive' feedback, and the unit appears to miss some presses.

Great product!
I bought this for my Olympus OM1 camera and I love it. I also have an older set for my Sony A7 with a different cable. I've done a lot of long exposure shots with this. When you start a long exposure you can see the time on the remote. I only used 3 of the modes which are single shot - bursts(multiple-shots) and bulbmode(long exposure). Also love that you can buy the AAA batteries in both units everywhere. And it also work threw glass.I highly recomend this product! I used it together with bird-eye detection and wide-focus area and nailed almost every shots. Here's a shot with a 135mm lense from aprox 1,5m away.

Buttons starting to fail after a month or so
After some light use for a few weeks, I'm having to really mash down on the button in order to trigger the flash.

Manufacturer lacks quality control.
One of the recent reviews that I read about this unit mentioned that the wiring in the receiver unit I believe it was, had quality control issues. Meaning that quality control appeared to be lacking. Well I am here to tell you that it hasn't improved one bit since then. If I could have added images I would have but this review app won't let me. Suffice it to say though that the battery insert section of the receiver is "Bass Ackward". Both negative contacts are on the same end, and both positive contacts are on the opposite end ofthe battery compartment! If it wasn't for the illustration in the compartment a buyer could 'VERY EASILY' put the batteries in incorrectly, --identical battery poles on each end-- and possibly damage the unit. That is negative negative on one end, and positive positive on the other end! I did put the batteries in correctly so it does works fine for now. But it could have been just the opposite. Who knows what the future holds? The only reason that I am not returning it right now is that overall I like the device. It is working fine for now, and if I did order a replacement it would probably be just as screwed up as the one I already have. Let's see how it holds up.One other thing. Would you please include a 60mm step-up ring for my Leica lenses. I had to purchase one from another company.

Does what I wanted.
Product was as described, arrived when promised, and works as it should. Only 4 stars, simply because I have only used it briefly, and have not had time to explore its full potential or durability. I use mine on a Nikon D750. The receiver is made to fit the hot shoe, but it is not required to be in the hot shoe to work. I wondered if it would work, simply hanging from the camera, with an external flash mounted to the hot shoe. It does indeed. The cable plugs into the D750 accessory connector - a very small connector indeed. I did not want the receiver hanging from the connector itself, so I used a bread wrapper tie to hold the cable to the camera strap eyelet, taking all strain off the camera connector, while letting the receiver hang free. Even though the receiver was not oriented toward the remote, it worked flawlessly. The camera would focus, shoot, and fire the hot shoe mounted flash, just as if the on camera shutter release had been pressed. It worked for me in broad daylight, at a greater distance than the nikon ml-l3 infared remote can reach. Finally, the remote and receiver both use AAA batteries, not some hard to find button type battery - another plus in my opinion.

amazing!
I'm a photographer and decided to start doing self portraits. This little clicker made it so easy for my first shoot and my photos came out beautifully. I practiced before the shoot to play around with the settings and my shoot went seamlessly. highly recommend!

Finally something that works as advertised - right out of the box
After fussing with a number of these remotes, none of which worked - basically just junk - this came today and it works as advertised. No hassles, cables that don't look as a compromise, solid construction and IT WORKS.
