These are not chao tian jiao, 朝天椒, heaven-facing chili peppers.
These are not chao tian jiao (朝天椒). Real heaven-facing peppers are squat and conical, like miniature party hats. It's my fault for making this purchase based on the description and photo showing the labeling on the package, and not looking closer at the photo of the actual chilis contained. While the label on the packaging is correct (朝天椒 characters), the peppers within the packaging are certainly not the right chilis. I'm not certain what these are, possibly tianyu. The product title, description, and product label is incorrectly labeled for the contents of the product.
