Best deal for this quality
Overall a great deal for the quality and quantity of pieces. The instructions were very minimal (one sheet with six steps and pictures), but they were very straightforward. I (small female) was able to install all of it on my own in a few hours, which included playing with my two cats. All wooden pieces came pre-drilled with holes that line up fairly well (but not 100%). The screws are also quality screws, but the "expansion pipes" or wall anchors were not. Thankfully I didn't have to rely on their anchors since I made sure every piece had at least one screw in a stud or I used my own anchors. The advertised layout looks fine, but I didn't follow it. The platforms with the scratch post cannot be flipped, and the two houses also cannot be flipped (one is left-facing, one is right-facing), but there is some room for variation in where you install them on the wall and which platforms connect with the ladders. All platforms have at least one grooved side with two holes to attach ladders or toys.I like the feel of the wood (not rough, but not too slick) and that there are grooves to prevent the cats from slipping. The corners aren't rounded, but they don't feel like much of a concern. The ladders are some of the best on here since they run the rope through the steps and are screwed in. My cats aren't using the ladders yet, but we hope to get them to play on them soon. The toy is just yarn around a plastic ball with a bell in it. The yarn has already come unraveled after a few minutes, but it's easy to put more yarn on it. We also plan to attach other toys to other edges.
