This is a must have book for anyone who’s started their own business and looking to employ and develop their team. The story may be a little odd at times but principals in this book are absolutely sound and really work. I feel like the person writing the book held back slightly - but it doesn’t really matter, if every business managed their teams in this way, the world would be a much better place.

It’s a small book that could easily be read in a couple of hours. Does have some good points which will be beneficial to any manager but would have liked to read something that had a litttle more depth.

Very simply expressed advice which is particularly helpful for newly appointed managers, perhaps administering (and praising and disciplining) staff for the first time. Ignore the Americanisms... good advice is at the core here. And it's a mercifully concise book. Good for early stage development of time management, and managing meetings and calls on your time.

I recently read The New One Minute Manager and found it to be a solid but unsurprising read. The book covers the basics of good management, with a focus on setting clear goals, giving feedback, and coaching for success. While these are important concepts, the book doesn't really bring anything new to the table and can feel a bit obvious at times. Pros: the core concepts of good management are laid out, and It's a quick and easy read Cons: It's not a particularly groundbreaking or insightful read.

A fantastic book in the One Minute Manager series. If you enjoy reading about management techniques this is a great read; for both beginners and experts.

It's been many a year since I read this book, having first bought a copy years ago when I first got thrown into management. It stuck with me, useful info for me at the time, which I did use to a degree. My daughter having been thrown into a management role, with not a lot of experience under the belt, I searched and was happy to find an updated version that I've gifted to her now. Hopefully, she actually reads it lol, and does get some good advice and use out of it as I did back then.

The book is straight to the point and impactful. With so many rules and how to’s, this book brings back a simple way of confronting situations in the workplace with tact and ease. Some may say that it is the commonsense way of doing things, altogether. One could digest the book in one day but I let it linger for two. I wanted to take the time to mentally digest the information. I recommend this book.

Manager ne s'apprend pas, et je pense que tout nouveau manager devrait lire ce livre. Très facile, peu long et rédigé sous forme d'une histoire, il permet de se faire une bonne idée de ce qu'est le management et de comment résoudre les conflits et gérer les motivations des équipes. En plus il lie les exemples concrets avec la théorie, et formule des "modèles" de management qui permettent de bien structurer sa pensée. Très enrichissant.

Excellent read

The book is brief and concise. A must read for any person working at any level in anu organisation.

Easy and quick read. Great for non book readers. Great for youth starting work. Was a book in a list of required ready when I was in an office. Bought several for high school graduates. Good advice for getting things done in a leadership position.
