Bang Zoom you are good to go.Follow the instructions for seasoning and caring for cast iron and you will never look back.*** More than a year in and I still love this amazing discada. Season and treat it like cast iron and NOTHING sticks to it.I cook on mine every time we take it camping or to SCA events. It's heavy. Too heavy for backpacking but if you don't mind horsing it out from the trailer to the campsite, this is the best cooking surface you ever find. The only place I can't keep perfectly seasoned on it is the top edge. That part doesn't get bacon grease on it very often so I have to pay a little extra attention there. All in all TEN out of five stars!!!
