I am an endomorph (high metabolism, very active) and maintaining healthy weight is difficult. I am a Geriatric nurse and use often as Boost VHC is drink of choice at most nursing homes and hospitals as calorie supplement. It is ideal because it's Calorie dense (at 530 Calories per 8oz) with great flavor and includes large amount of protein (22 grams) for tissue building and skin integrity(wound healing, bed sore treatment and prevention, good source of vitamins and minerals, tastes great despite only 14 grams of sugar.. Can be served chilled or room temperature, Well tolerated by those with lactose intolerance.I would recommend equal amounts water to facilitate digestion, however even without water every time and drinking two cartons per day for several months I have not noticed any constipation or GI upset like I have experienced with other dense supplements.Easily drink alone or mixed into milkshake. I drink about 2 hours between meals to help make my 3500 calorie intake and it does not hinder my appetite nor affect my energy levels even during a workout. Perfect for post workout snack to provide quick easy calories immediately and prevent muscle loss by providing good proportion of fat, protein and carbs. Highly recommend for anyone who needs calorie supplement that is nutrient dense and tastes great. Ideally one should not replace a supplement for a meal, however does provide a broad range of nutrients for those who have trouble eating. Packaged in box that is perforated to fit in fridge and allow other items to be stacked on top. Can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge and has a straw and a side slot for pouring.

I've bought these drinks for a year now, I try to consume one a day. They make for great meal replacements especially if you're in a hurry and you have no time to eat. Trick is, it has to be cold (don't freeze, it turns a really weird slushy like texture) and I dilute it with equal amounts water (mix well!) . At first, it took me a long time to drink it because there is this odd chemically taste that's in all other nutritional drinks too. The straw helps from the taste from getting really coated in your mouth. Plus! Not only is this literally the most caloric drink I've found, it has the least amount of sugar (but still tastes very sweet) and a high amount of protein which also helps with the weight gain. I initially noticed an upwards of 8lb weight gain, but now I drink it mostly to maintain the weight. Never came damaged and honestly I wish it came in bigger sizes because these drinks only last me a month or so.

Excellent product. I've been struggling with NO appetite severe weight loss & this probably saved me. Gained a bit of weight January through April, quit using it & immediately started losing weight again but stress, anxiety, isolation & fear of the Covid19 thing burns a lot of calories. Went from size 4 to 6 in three (3) months but sadly back down to -4 & BMI now 17. I never had a problem drinking this at room temp & ro me, it taste very good. Last batch I got was not quite as thick as the first few orders but the viscosity has NEVER bothered me. Wish it came in different flavors. Variety would be nice when BOOST is all one can get down. Maybe once did I have a digestive problems..if you know what I mean. Ensure Plus kept me alive many times prior to discovering this supplement & is an excellent product, too but I needed a high, high calorie supplement. Will reorder the BOOST.

I had a chronic throat issue due to reflux (it’s called laryngopharyngeal reflux aka LPR) because of which I had a very tight, scratchy throat and extreme difficulty in swallowing foods, as a result I lost too much weight (I was normal weight and I am close to underweight now and underweight doesn’t look too hot on me) also felt weak and tired all the time.I have recovered from the throat issue but I still need to avoid certain foods, so it is not possible for me to eat indiscriminately and gain my weight back from eating whatever.Since taking the Boost Very High calorie as an additional, quick 530 calorie to my existing diet, I have been feeling better. I have noticed a difference in my overall energy (I also started taking vitafusion gummy vitamins- they are fantastic and works very well in upping my energy), and slowly gaining my strength back.As you can see from the photo, it’s only been 5 days (I take one a day with strawberry syrup), and already gained a solid one pound.I would like to add that I have a sensitive stomach and this did not cause me any stomach issues whatsoever.(Before I discovered Boost VHC, I have tried Soylent and Soylent caused me severe bloating and has way less calorie per bottle).So thankful for this reason as well that I can digest this one well.I am looking forward to gaining the rest of the 10 pounds and looking and feeling like myself again.Thanks for this, Nestlé! Boost VHC nutritional drink works great. This is perfect for anyone trying to add calories to their current diet. Personally used this nutritional drink for bulking during the beginning of my weight training adding ~1000 extra calories during training days and have seen great result after starting at 123lbs to 135lbs ( obviously not all muscle) after 3 weeks, with 4-5 days splits gym routine. One has to be careful when drinking this, which can cause insulin spikes and also increase body fat (mostly in the belly). Boost VLC overall is great for the short term and only if priced right ~$40-43 US dollars.Pros:- Contain lots of calories for the container size- No mixing- Vanilla taste is goodCons:- Insulin spikes- Lots of carbohydrates (in other words sugar)- Weird after taste- Makes one thirsty
