Decent Phone If You Only Want Android 5.0
When I first turned on the phone, it didn't take me to the usual start up screen, which screamed red flag to me. It was already set to a generic looking home screen with no account attached to it.I bought this phone with the intention of giving it to my school aged son to use. I wanted to install a parental control app, which I was unable to because the Play Store kept saying the software was outdated. When I looked in the "About Phone" section in Settings, it says it's Android 10. I tried updating the system and the phone keeps saying it's fully updated.Looking further into the phone's apps, the System UI (user interface) is Android 5.0.So in conclusion, this is a very outdated phone using decent parts. The battery life is good, processes decently well, and supposed 4 GB RAM makes the phone fast for basic use. Just don't download any apps that require higher than Android 5.0.Since this is a generic brand phone, there's nowhere to find a file to manually update the software, which is a shame because the parts are decent.
