Worth the price
Bought this to settle a rather nasty argument between me and my sister on which games to keep on the PS4 once it started running out of space. While it's a lot of money to spend in one go, I personally consider it well worth the cost in the long run, especially as games continue to increase in the amount of storage needed to download them, and saves spending more over time in buying multiple lesser capacity hard drives. In terms of usability, it's compact size is great because it doesn't take up too much space, and the lead is a good length to allow portability. It was incredibly easy to install and took less than a minute to format, and I've had no problems with any of the games on it, both with downloading onto it and running off it. Some people have said it makes a bit of noise when the device it's in is being used, but on PS4 I haven't found it makes any noticeable noise at all. All in all, well worth the cost, and exactly what I was looking for.

A solid buy for my ps5.
Not a real lot to say here, after all it's just a hard disk.I needed to buy an external drive for my ps5 as the SSD included with the console is tiny given the size of games.I didn't want to buy a external SSD as they're too pricey per-GB right now, I had a 2TB from my PS4 but figured I would need a bigger one at one point (as managed to nearly fill it with psvr games) so I bought this 4TB one.You can play PS4 titles direct from the harddrive but not ps5 games, you can however move ps5 games that your not currently playing to the harddrive essentially archiving them until you want to play them again freeing up space one the internal SSD, apparently moving from external to internal storage is a lot faster then redownloading the game again. The drive is quiet and I've had no issues with it so far (had it a few months now). Installation was simply a case of plugging it in and formatting it in the ps5 settings (in the storage section).I paid £84.99 (I think) and it was a pretty solid purchase, nothing to complain about.July 2021 edit:-Just thought I would add in the event you are getting ready for your shiney new ps5 to arrive, you can install all your current PS4 games from your PS4 console and this harddrive will plug and play without needing to be formatted, all your installed games will be ready to roll/play on your ps5 straight away (your ps5 will also set itself up to install PS4 content automatically to the external harddrive from then onwards)Buy with confidence.I hope this review helps in some way.

Works well and keeps all my extra games on PS5
Very easy to use, just plugged it in to my PS5 and went on to the storage settings and followed the instructions they provided for moving my games to an external storage. I noticed a slight lag for a few seconds when I played Tekken 7 but that didn't happen often and that was the only game I noticed it happening on. To be frank I was expecting a lot more lag considering it's a HDD drive so I am actually pleasantly surprised, I give it 5 stars! Does it's job keeping all the games there and it works fab!

No fuss and easy to use
Needed an upgrade on the PS4 HDD and I looked around and found a few, I don't know much about these things apart from it plugs in and it holds info. It looks thick and bulky but it's not as bad as it looks compared to some others, it's really easy to use too....all you do is plug it in via a usb cable (which you get with it) and format it and bobs your uncle.....it's all done. The storage capacity isn't too bad I have the 4tb version and I have games like modern warfare and cold war which takes up loads of room and I will easily fit all my other games on....at long last. I did have a Seagate 2 tb version and I never had any issues with it at all. It's also powered by the usb cable so you dont have to find a plug socket to use and is really quiet when used.

Works...mostly...
Has worked, mostly. Seems the cable connection isn't 100% so I have to store it upright to maintain connectivity and once (so far) PS4 said it couldn't read it (having copied all our games onto it) and said it needed to be reformatted. Fortunately, this was temporary and we were able to resolve by rebooting everything. While it works, it is a brilliant solution to remove the need to pick and choose downloads.

Easy to install but 3.69 TB not 4 TB.
I was concerned it would be hard to install after reading some reviews but I put it in and yes it said this device is not compatible so I then went to storage under options and clicked on format with x button and after a couple minutes it was working fine so don't be put off by not compatible warning it is basically just saying it needs formatted which is done very easily in two minutes.Only quibble is that after formatting it says 3.69 TB remaining not the 4tb I was expecting thankfully I'm sure 3.69 will do me. I'm presuming it has something to do with formatting which then reduces available memory.Downloaded my first game onto it gta v and it works great. I'm very pleased. Will still be able to fit about 30 high end games e.g COD and GTA memory hogging games so should be more than sufficient.

Solid piece of kit.
Pretty reasonable price for the amount of storage you get. Had mine in regular use for almost 3 years. Recently needed to repair it through the PlayStation system for the first and only time in that period as a result of knocking my PS5 over and disconnecting the cable while it was in use. Surprised to find despite it causing a crash and needing to repair itself everything still works fine once again after. Solid piece of kit and fast load times, definitely recommend it.
