This makes very authentic tasting Mapto Tofu without the bother of having to find all the spices. At full strength this is VERY spicy, so it is for the serious chili head / Sichuan cuisine fan. The English directions on the back are somewhat vague so it does help to understand the dish / recipe.

Please do not purchase this product if you love your body. I was already skeptical when reading the back of the label that had stickers covering the actual package/ ingredients.Sticker said "Non-GMO" and when I peeled it off, the label said GMO and other ingredients were different than the actual packaging. It was my fault I sill gave it a try. I only used two table spoon of the sauce, thinking it would be harmless; but here I am, suffering with stomach pains from the harmful ingredients.Please, whatever you do... buy a different brand of mapo tofu sauce or make it from scratch. You do not want stomach pains!

As authentic as it can be because I am from Sichuan and I know how the real mapou tofu tastes like.
