PRO:It works.Very long cables. Might be a con for some.Very low price.CON:Very long cables. Might be a pro for some people, though.It doesn't charge the device as fast as the native charger - although it still keeps up with demand for many hours.The cable materials is cheap PVC and not that nice flexible rubber. This means it might come unplugged because the cable is so stiff.The most annoying thing is the light on the magnetic connector. It is just a light, not an indicator. It stays on whether or not it's in use. It's very bright.

Charges my surface pro 3 just fine, one complaint I have is that the indicator light turns on when you plug the charger into the wall, not when the surface is being charged like the OEM charger did. I've only had this for a few days so I cannot speak to it's longevity, but the material seems appropriate for a $12 purchase. It will probably last me a year or two of casual use. I will add that I purchased this charger because my original charger broke at the connection to the big bock, this connection seems to be better.

I bought this charger because the original from Microsoft had connection problems with the connection at the adapter to the computer at theadapter. Then I ordered this one and it came quickly and worked fine....and still works. I bought and it arrived on February 22, 2018. The only issue I have with it is the junction between the plug that attaches to the Surface 4 and the cable

This charger does a great job of charging my computer, but sometimes the trackpad on the Type Cover refuses to work properly while this charging cable is attached. I do not experience this malfunction with the original Microsoft charger which was included with my Surface Pro 4. Fine if you use a BT or USB mouse, otherwise keep looking.

This charger was a great backup. It’s a 36W battery and the Surface Pro 4 comes with a 64/65W battery charger. Therefore, this replacement charges the computer much slower than the orignial charger. This charger is great quality for the low price! It’s a great backup, but I would recommend a higher watt battery for every day use.

It works. It’s a little annoying that the light is always on even when it’s not plugged in. I was disappointed that it doesn’t have a USB port in the black box part. Works well. Good replacement if your original one breaks like mine did.

Initially this charger worked great, but after about a week, every time I'd plug the charger into the Surface, it would start buzzing and I couldn't use the mouse on the Surface. I'm not sure how these two things could be related, but every time I unplugged the charger, the mouse would work fine, and when I'd plug it back in, it would stop working.If all you need is something to charge your Surface and you're not picky about being able to use the device while it is charging, then this is a cheap charger that will work ok. If you're looking for something more similar to the original Surface charger, I'd keep looking.

Worked for a while, and now the light comes on indicating that the unit is getting power but it's not charging my computer. Other chargers still work fine so it's not the computer.
